We were created for real relationship — not just followers, likes, and streaks.

Online connections can be fun, but they can never replace sitting across from someone, hearing their story, praying together, laughing, serving, and walking through hard seasons side-by-side. Real relationships take time. They take effort. They take showing up.

It’s easy to pour emotional energy into people we may never meet. But the people in your church, your school, your home — those are the relationships God has physically placed in your life. Those are the ones that shape you, sharpen you, and support you.

And above every relationship is the ultimate one — your relationship with Christ. He is the only One who will never leave, never scroll past you, never misunderstand your worth. When your relationship with Him is strong, it changes how you show up for everyone else.

Lasting relationships are built by:
• Being present (not distracted)
• Initiating conversations
• Serving instead of consuming
• Praying for and with others
• Being consistent, not just convenient

Real connection > digital attention.
Depth > visibility.
Faithfulness > popularity.

💬 What are you doing to be intentional in your relationships — both with others and with God?

This morning in Connect Group, we studied “The Day Is Coming”.

We walked through Malachi 3:1–6 and 4:1–6, focusing on how God purifies and heals His people. The main point reminded us:

👉 Following God means letting Him purify us.

We talked about:
• Common reasons people struggle with belief today
• If God doesn’t change, what creates distance in our relationship with Him
• The difference between refining fire (to purify) and destructive fire (to judge)
• What it truly means to belong to the Lord

We also discussed the powerful truth of imputation — that our sin was placed on Christ, and His righteousness was placed on us.

A reminder from today: God’s refining isn’t meant to harm us — it’s meant to make us more like Him.

💬 Reflection question:
What might God be refining in your life right now?

Showing up isn’t the same as being present.

When you come to youth, be intentional. Lean in. Participate. Speak up. Worship fully. Ask questions. Encourage someone. Put your phone down.

God doesn’t move the most in the loudest person or the most popular person — He moves in the one who is open and willing. 💛

You’ll get out of youth what you put into it. If you come distracted, you’ll leave unchanged. But if you come expectant? Watch what God can do.

Don’t just attend. Engage.

Question:
What would change in your life if you showed up to youth fully present and ready for God to move?

✨ See you tonight at 6:30 PM!

❤️ Valentine’s Day & the Greatest Love ❤️

Valentine’s Day reminds us of love—cards, candy, and kind gestures—but there’s a love that goes far beyond all of that.

Jesus showed us the greatest love of all when He made the ultimate sacrifice, laying down His life so that we could truly live. His love isn’t temporary, conditional, or based on what we do—it's sacrificial, faithful, and forever.

📖 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.”
— John 3:16–17

✨ “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13

When is the last time that you shared His love with someone close to you? Who is the one friend or family member that you have a heart to share the Gospel with? 💖

🍕It’s National Pizza Day, and we want to know:🍕

👉 What’s your GO-TO pizza topping?
👉 And what topping is an absolute NO WAY for you? 🚫🍍👀

Classic pepperoni?
All the cheese?
Veggie overload?
Anchovies with artichokes?

Drop your answers in the comments—and be prepared to possibly defend your choices if they are a little 🤢🤣!

Lesson Recap:

📖 ALL WHO COULD LISTEN | Nehemiah 8

In Nehemiah 8, the people gathered—not just to rebuild walls, but to hear and understand God’s Word. And when they did, something powerful happened.

God’s Word first brought grief as they recognized their sin…
But it didn’t stop there.
Through repentance, it also brought joy—the kind of joy that strengthens us and reminds us that God desires restoration, not shame.

✨ “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)

This week we’re asking ourselves:
➡️ What does my life show that I treasure most?
➡️ Do my choices reflect that God’s Word truly matters to me?

As we grow in Christ, God continues His work of sanctification, shaping our hearts, minds, and lives to look more like Jesus. May we be people who don’t just hear the Word—but love it, live it, and rejoice in it.

🖤 Main Point: Our lives reveal our greatest treasure.
