Trusting God For The Miracle
Luke Chapter 5: 1-10 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, 2. And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them and were washing their nets. 3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed to him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the people out of the ship. When God asks you to do something will you do what he says? It was a simple gesture for Peter to pull away his boat just a little way in order for Jesus to speak to the large body of people. The separation, between Jesus and the people, provided a platform for the people to see Jesus. How many of you would have worked all night and Jesus ask you to do something would have second-guessed, told him you were too tired, and not done it at all. It’s the simple task that God asked us to do, that allows Jesus to know that he can trust you with bigger tasks. He asks you to get up and pray or write and you procrastinate and do not move on it because you are waiting for a big sign to make sure you hear him clearly instead of just moving. It’s the Trust Factor. Can God trust you to do the small things in order to bless you with the BIG Things? 4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. The launch means to set afloat of pushing it or sending it forth. The instructions were clear push the ship into deep water, and let down your nets for a draught or heavy load. 5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless thy word I will let down the net. Simon Peter, put aside his understanding and embraced God's understanding with these Simple words "Never the Less at thy word I will Let down the Net.". This required Simon to trust God at his word. The man had tolled all night with his crew and he knew nothing was out there. God wants us to trust that though He has led us to a place of what seems to have no escape, He will get us to where we need to be. If your back is against the wall and you see no way out, keep holding on to God and get excited because you are about to see a miracle happen in your life. 6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. God knows how to send you into an overflow. So much so that verse 7 tells us. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came and filled both the ships so that they began to sink. What a miracle from God! Tolled all night and both ships with nothing. They were in a place of lack. Maybe you are in a place of lack. Lack of food, finances, or lack of even hearing God’s voice. How do you fix that preacher? I'm glad that you ask. Surrender to God's plan and take you out of the way. Ask God for direction and he will not only take care of the lack, but he will also give you more than enough. Simon Peter gave Jesus the platform to speak from his boat and then God blessed him and the people with him in return. When we put God in the plan. God can and will do it. God turned their drought (nothing) into a drought (DRAFT) (overflow). Some of you have been needing a drought to turn to a draft. God can and will do it. Whatever you have been asking God to do in your life. Trust the process and trust God, when you surrender and do his will he will provide the resources. 8. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.9For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught (draft) of the fishes which they had taken: Verse 10 And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. At the end of the story, we find that they became some of the first disciples of Jesus. They started out as fishermen of fish to followers of Jesus Christ appointed to help draw others to Christ. When we follow Jesus, he always has something greater in store for us if we can only trust him. Whatever you trust God for, believe him for it. This Week as you start your day. I ask that you surrender to the holy spirit and follow God's lead. Regardless of what your situation might look like. Follow Gods lead. When you wake up in the morning I don’t have any money NEVERTHELESS, I will believe you that all the bills will be paid, Put it all in your hands. The first thing I want you to say is Holy Spirit I'm following your lead today. The obedience will lead you to the blessings that God has for you. Trust God For the Miracle!
Jeremiah 17: 7-8 Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. 8.. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought (abnormally low rainfall) Nor will cease from yielding fruit.
