Thanks to the students and alumni (with special thanks to Reese Torstrick, organizer and designer) who contributed to the 6th annual PCM+ Advent Devotional! We hope it points you to the light of Christ this season.

PCM+ Advent Devotional 2020 Posted on November 30, 2020 by Libby Boehne This is the sixth year that the students and young alumni of Duke PCM+ created an Advent devotional for the community, and this year it feels more important than ever. As many of you know, Advent is known to Christians as a time...

Meet the beloved !!

Simi is a fellowship chair for PCM+ and is a rising senior. She went to high school less than half a mile from east campus, but her parents are from Nigeria and she understands the language Yoruba. Simi studies biology and hopes to be a family doctor someday. For the past three years, she has run for the Duke track team, and her foodpoints always seem to disappear at Red Mango in Wilson Gym.

brought Simi by the Chapel basement one evening during her sophomore year, and she’s been involved in PCM+ ever since. We all love her kind personality and warm smile!

Swipe to see Simi in the mountains on a PCM+ retreat as well as a picture of her participating in her first sport: cheerleading!

And now introducing the beloved LTeam member Wes!

Wesley Hardin is a rising junior from Atlanta and is pursuing a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Religious Studies. He used to be a very passionate reader and rower until freshman year when he learned that sleep was much more important than either of these things. Fortunately, he’s grown a lot as a Duke student and has graduated to coming to PCM+ services on time! He can’t wait to meet everyone whether it be on Zoom or in the PCM+ office itself.

Here to brighten your day is another introduction to a member of our Lteam!

Kate Neal is a sophomore from Nashville, TN. She is committed to Duke for D1 Wii Bowling and loves working with Durham children with CHANCE tutoring through Duke.

She is majoring in undecided for now, and her favorite campus spots are marketplace for lunch and the first floor of Perkins.

She cannot wait for PCM+ to start rolling and to serve as freshman outreach coordinator.

Swipe to see her going Krazy in Cameron with a fellow PCMer.

The next LTeam member we are introducing is sophomore Alex Hoffman!

He is from Durham, NC, and is double majoring in Public Policy and Spanish. In between failing his classes, Alex spends his days bestowing the gift of his presence to the burgeoning Spikeball community at Duke, sharing serving techniques that are passed down from generation to generation. An enigmatic figure in the PCM+ community, all that is known about Alex are his dedication to three things: food, Duke basketball, and worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus!

What is clear, however, is that he is thrilled to be the Freshman Outreach Chair for any and all Christ-following whippersnappers ready to brave the ideological high seas that are Duke PCM+!
