September 5–6, we will be celebrating the World Day of Prayer for Creation at all our weekend parish Masses.

This annual celebration was established by Pope Francis for the universal Catholic Church in 2015. We will be using the prayers and readings for the new “Mass for Creation” promulgated by Pope Leo XIV. We celebrate that all things were created through Christ and for Christ, as we praise God for the gift of creation and pray that we may be good stewards of this precious gift. Our readings will be: Wisdom 13:1–9; Col 1:15–20; and Mt 8:23–27.

Del 5 al 6 de septiembre, celebraremos la Jornada Mundial de Oración por la Creación en todas nuestras misas parroquiales del fin de semana.

Esta celebración anual fue establecida por el papa Francisco para la Iglesia católica universal en 2015. Utilizaremos las oraciones y lecturas de la nueva “Misa para la Creación” promulgada por el papa León XIV.

Celebramos que todas las cosas fueron creadas por medio de Cristo y para Cristo, al tiempo que alabamos a Dios por el don de la creación y rezamos para que podamos ser buenos servidores de este precioso don. Las lecturas serán: Sabiduría 13, 1-9; Colosenses 1, 15-20; y Mateo 8, 23-27.
