St Joseph AME Church

St Joseph AME Church Worship Sundays at 11:00 AM (with church school at 9:45AM)
Rev. Dr. Abdue Knox, Sr. Pastor The word Methodist refers to our Doctrine and Discipline.

What We Believe

The word African means that the church was organized by people of African descent and heritage. It does AME Shield not mean that the church was founded in Africa, or that it is for persons of African descent only. The church's roots are of the family of Methodist churches. Methodism provides an orderly system of rules and regulations and places emphasis on a plain and simple gospe

l. The word Episcopal refers to the form of government under which the church operates. The chief executive and administrative officers of the African Methodist Episcopal denomination are the Bishops of the church. The Motto "God Our Father, Christ Our Redeemer, Man our Brother" is a great summary of what the African Methodist Episcopal Church believes.

June is Black Music Month, and we're kicking off the celebration with a brand-new summer series!

Music is the soundtrack of our lives, and God gives us a song for every season. Join Pastor Abdue L. Knox as we explore the Psalms—the songs, prayers, praises, and promises that have strengthened God's people for generations.

Through Bible study and Sunday sermons and the musical genius of Stevie Wonder, we'll discover how God's melodic messages become the soundtrack of our own stories.

Joy. Hope. Praise. Lament. Victory. Faith.

There's a Psalm for every season—and a word from God for every life. Come ready to learn, reflect, and be inspired as we explore the songs of Scripture and hear God's voice in every key of life.
