Double the joy this Sunday at Shady Grove! ✨

First, we are absolutely thrilled to officially welcome the newest addition to our Shady Grove family-Shirley Griffiths! 🫶 If you haven't had a chance to say hello and give her a warm Shady Grove welcome yet, make sure to introduce yourself next Sunday. We are so blessed to have you with us, Shirley!

Second, a massive Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads in our community. 👔 Standard Father's Day ties are great, but we decided to sweeten the deal today. Our dads got to unleash their inner kid and stock up at the Shady Grove Candy Bar after service! 🍫🍬

Thank you, dads, for everything you do, the love you give, and the faith you model for us every single day. We hope your day was sweet in more ways than one!

What an incredible week! 🙌🐑 Today, we wrapped up Day 5 of Vacation Bible School, and our hearts are absolutely full.

For our final day, we dived into the beautiful promises of Psalm 23:

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul..."

From energetic worship and creative crafts to deep-dive Bible lessons and wild recreation games, we have loved watching these kids grow closer to the Good Shepherd this week!

THANK YOU to our phenomenal team of volunteers! 🤍 From checking in families and prepping snacks to leading small groups and cleaning up, this week would have been impossible without your dedication, energy, and love. You are the hands and feet of Jesus!

Can you believe day FOUR of VBS is officially complete?! 😮 High energy, loud singing, incredible crafts, and so many smiles-we are having the absolute best week, but we can't believe there’s only ONE day left to go!

Today, our hearts were focused on Psalm 23:5:

"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over."

We talked about how God provides for us, protects us, and fills our lives with so many blessings that our cups truly runneth over. ✨ Seeing the kids grasp just how much they are loved and cared for by the Good Shepherd has been the ultimate highlight.

Parents, rest up tonight! Let’s bring all the energy tomorrow for day five to finish this amazing week strong! 💪 See you all tomorrow morning! ☀️👋

🐑 Day 3 of VBS is in the books, and what a wild, wonderful day it was! 🇮🇪

​From fuzzy little sheep to faithful shepherds-and even a surprise appearance from some excellent Irish travelers-our costume game was absolutely on point today! Swipe to see some of our favorite looks from this afternoon. 📸👇

​Today, our adventures brought us to a powerful reminder from Psalm 23:4:

​"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

​We learned that no matter where we go or how dark the path might seem, our Good Shepherd is always right by our side, guarding us and bringing us comfort.

​We can't believe tomorrow is already Day 4! Get some rest tonight, Shady Grove family-we'll see you back here tomorrow for more fun, games, and faith!

Day 2 of VBS at Shady Grove ✅

Today, our little sheep learned all about the Good Shepherd. Our focus verse was Psalm 23:2: "He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters." 🌾💧

Amidst all the high-energy games, crafts, and loud singing, it was so beautiful to talk with the kids about how God gives us peace, rests our hearts, and guides us gently through life. .🙌🎨🎤

Thank you to all our incredible volunteers who are making this week so special, and to the parents for sharing your amazing kiddos with us! We're excited to see everyone for our day 3 challenge tomorrow - dress Irish or like an Irish animal. ☘️🇮🇪🐑
