The purpose of the Financial Ministry of First Calvary Baptist Church is to provide instructional and developmental support of congregants who are looking to improve their financial lives using biblical principles and practical money management strategies. We aim to increase financial literacy throughout the congregation using the dfree™ strategy and other practical biblical financial literacy too

ls which include, but are not limited to focusing the entire congregation on the benefits of a debt-free lifestyle through various outlets (ie, church website, printed materials, press releases, flyers, special Sunday Service announcements, along with Sunday School and Bible Study classes dedicated to teaching biblical principles of a debt free lifestyle). We also hope to increase the level of short term and long-term giving through a targeted educational campaign with the specific purpose of demonstrating the need for a debt free church. As members become debt free, the ministry objective will be to support the goal of helping the church itself to become and remain debt free.
