As the colder months greet us, the need for food assistance increases significantly in our community. We invite everyone to support our local food banks by donating non-perishable items. Donations can be dropped off at designated locations during office hours: Monday through Thursday from 9am to 1pm at St. George's, or directly at the St. Thomas More Parish Office on Thursdays from 4pm to 6pm. Your participation can make a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need.

The Durham Churches' Christmas Fair is back on December 6, 2025, marking a significant milestone for St. George's: the 50th anniversary of the Birding Guild. This event showcases the dedication to craftsmanship and community engagement through unique offerings such as handcrafted felted birds, vintage holiday decorations, and handmade gifts from local artisans. Join us for a day filled with comfort food, exciting raffle prizes, and a cookie walk, all while celebrating the rich history and social connections fostered by the Birding Guild. A happy Feast of the Assumption of Mary to all!

O God, you have taken to yourself the blessed Virgin Mary, mother of your incarnate Son: Grant that we, who have been redeemed by his blood, may share with her the glory of your eternal kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
