Undone By Love #04 with Pastor Clay
There is only one way to grow a relationship with someone: spend time with them.
Relationships require Time.
This is also true in having a relationship with God.
Scripture Focus Psalm 16
Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge. I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you. ” As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight. The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names on my lips. The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me. I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption. You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

We become what we behold.
(What we are attentive to.)
Four Things to Behold
A. Behold the goodness of God.
See v. 2
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you. ”
God ‘s attributes come from His love.
So His goodness comes from His love.
1 John 4:8: God is love.
James 1:17 …every good gift comes from above.
B. Behold His people.
They are expressions of His Love.
V. 3
As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.
Where do you look for God?
Miracles? Supernatural? That’s not the only way to see the actions of God.
He will show up in your life through the people He sends into your life.
Put some people around you that put His love into your life.
C. Behold His blessings.
V6: The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.
Sometimes we overlook our blessings because God is so consistent.
(Air and sunshine) … consider what if God took a break from that?
To improve your life: pay attention to your blessings. Don’t get so focused on the unpleasant things in life.
D. Behold His presence.
V11: You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Have a quiet time daily in God’s presence.
Top Three reasons:
1. You were created to have fellowship with God.
2. Jesus set the example (Mark 1).
3. Every person who has been greatly used by God developed this habit.
