We're continuing our Second Altars series with “It Is What It Is.”

What happens when we choose compromise because we believe it's the only way to succeed?

Jeremiah 10 reminds us that the things we put our trust in can't carry the weight of our lives.

God alone is worthy of our trust.

Join us tomorrow as we learn what it means to choose faithfulness over compromise and trust our living God.

We can't wait to worship with you! ❤️

What are you trusting to take care of you?

Money? Success? Approval? Control? A relationship?

Sometimes the things we value most can quietly become the things we trust most. And when a good thing becomes an ultimate thing, it can become an idol.

As we continue our Second Altars series, this Sunday’s message, “It Is What It Is,” challenges us to consider what we're willing to compromise to get ahead.

When we find ourselves saying, “Everybody does it. It is what it is,” maybe we need to stop and ask:

Is this faithfulness, or is this idolatry?

We don't have to trust the idols of this world to take care of us.

We have a living God. And He is enough. ❤️

Sometimes the hardest idols to recognize are the ones we don't think we're worshiping.

They don't look like idols.

They look like:
• A dream we're afraid to surrender
• A relationship we can't imagine living without
• A reputation we desperately want to protect
• An achievement that determines our worth
• An image of ourselves we need everyone to believe

But Scripture asks us to look deeper.

What has become more important to us than God?

God's command to have no other gods isn't about limiting our lives. It's about protecting them.

Because He knows that anything we place above Him will eventually ask us to give it more than it can ever give us in return.

Join us tomorrow morning for the first message in our new Second Altars series: No Other Gods.

When God gave the Ten Commandments, His very first command was:

“You shall have no other gods before me.”
— Exodus 20:3

Idolatry isn't always a statue or something we physically bow down to.

Sometimes it's a relationship.
A dream.
Our reputation.
Our success.
Our appearance.
Our need for approval.
Even our desire to be right.

A good thing can become a god thing when we give it the place in our lives that belongs only to God.

This Sunday, we're beginning a new sermon series, Second Altars, with No Other Gods.

What might God be asking you to place back in its proper place?

Join us as we discover what it means to give God first place.

What does faith look like in everyday life?

Hebrews 13 gives us a surprisingly practical answer.

Love one another.
Show hospitality.
Remember those who are suffering.
Honor your commitments.
Be content with what you have.
Trust God.
Follow faithful examples.
And above all, remember this:

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Our faith isn't just something we believe on Sunday. It's something we live because we know the One we trust will never change.

Join us tomorrow for The One Who Never Changes as we continue our By Faith sermon series.
