Duane Sheriff is an author, apostolic teacher, conference speaker, and host of the Grace and Truth broadcast. He is the founding pastor of Victory Life Church, headquartered in Durant, Oklahoma. Victory Life has grown into a multi-campus church in Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado. In 2020, Duane passed the leadership of Victory Life Church to his son, Jacob, and currently serves as a Senior Elder and

one of the lead communicators. Duane Sheriff was one of the first pastors to distribute his teaching messages free of charge. Since 1983, Duane Sheriff Ministries has given away millions of teaching messages, ensuring everyone can access the Word of God. Duane lives by his life mission to help people grow in Christ. His humor and unique revelation of scripture present the Gospel with clarity and simplicity. Paul says, “You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ” (2 Tim. 2:3). The picture here is one of a battle and warfare with a need to endure the
hardships of war. Many people do not view God’s kingdom or Christianity in general as a battle or fight. Yet earlier in his letter to Timothy, Paul said to “fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life” (1 Tim. 6:12).

There is a good fight that God has called us to engage in, and it is not natural, nor is it
fought with natural weapons. Our fight is not even with people. Our battle is fought with spiritual weapons:

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12).

The pressures of life, when countered with steadfast faith (faithfulness to Jesus), stir up a strength within us that vastly outweighs the pressure. That is a blessing to know.

As we remain faithful and steadfast in our love for Jesus and keep our focus on Him, His glory increases in us and works from within us. When Satan strikes us with problems, it only ignites Jesus’ passion in our defense.

We had the honor to hear the testimony from Phil and Cathy Tedeschi who drove 2 hours to thank Duane who was preaching at the Victory Family Church in Pennsylvania and testify of God's healing power in their life!

"Back in 2020, I (Phil) was diagnosed with cancer, leukemia, and I was told it was incurable. That's man's testimony , God has a better word. Duane's teachings have given us such a sense of hope and encouraged us to build our faith so many times. Many times after dinner we would just say, 'Let's go hear what Duane has to say tonight.' It's just been such a blessing.

My heart was, if he ever came close enough that I could thank him in person, I wanted to say thank you so when we heard he was coming to our area so we said, 'we just got to go out!'.

By the way, I beat the doctors with Jesus' help and lots of prayer. I am cancer free of one type, and the second one I'm expectant to be gone too, I have a blood test in a couple of weeks. With God all things are possible!
