💧Bottled Water Donations Needed! 💧
The summer heat is on, and we need your help to stay hydrated! Hands of Hope Food and Resource Center is currently running low on bottled water, and we are reaching out to our amazing community for donations.

These water donations are vital for keeping our dedicated volunteers energized as they sort and distribute food, as well as ensuring we have refreshing drinks available for the community members who visit our center.

How You Can Help
If you are able to contribute, we are accepting donations of:

Cases of individual bottled water (any brand/size)

We want to give recognition to the volunteers from Durant Family Medical Clinic. We are absolutely blown away by the incredible team from Durant Family Medical Clinic. They joined us today and accomplished the impossible: completing what was going to take us five weeks of work in just a few short hours. This wasn’t just a "helping hand"—it was a full-on mission. Their team dived into:

Intense Cleaning: They left our space sparkling and organized.

Breaking Down Produce: Prepped fresh food with speed and care.

Sorting Groceries: Organized countless items to ensure they get to families in need quickly.

Their efficiency was matched only by their heart. To the staff and volunteers at Durant Family Medical: thank you for your tireless energy and for being such pillars of strength in our community. We are so grateful for your partnership!

I snapped this photo shortly after I started working here. Something I noticed very quickly is that before Sue starts to pray for someone, she will hold their hand.

This hand happened to be clean, but I've seen her grab hands of those no one would ever go near, and she doesn't hesitate.

There's something beautiful and sacred in these moments.
Through her, a more than willing vessel, God has truly made this a place of hope.
Unafraid of the mess, knowing that when we hold the power of the Lord in our hands in faith, she remembers God's love cannot be affected or infected by the dirtiest hands.
God's love works the other way around, if they will let it.

His love cannot be earned or unearned, only received or denied.

It's His hands that wash the dirtiest and smelliest feet, even the ones who are deemed "hopeless" by the world.
It's His hands that are scarred for the sins of the world.

When we define hopeless, it's not someone we have given up on, but someone who has placed their faith and hope in anything other than the Living Hope, Jesus Christ.

In 1988, Sue Stanfield made the decision to say, "every 7 days" after their first client came the very next day after their first ever day of serving.
At the time, she knew she needed to create guidelines, but didn't really know how generous it really was.
This doesn't mean it's better than any other, but certainly a testament to the spirit of generosity in Durant, OK!

Founded in 1988, Hands of Hope is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and "we exist to bring hope to the hopeless" in Bryan County and surrounding areas.
