Jesus - "Live in Me" 'Duquesne, PA: Prayer Group' Welcome to this prayer group which reflects, through prayer, on the Love God has for each one of us. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.

Welcome to this prayer group which reflects, through prayer, on the Love God has for each one of us...

Meditation - John 17.14 – 21

“I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one. They do not belong to the

world, just as I do not belong to the world. As you have sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, so that they also may be sanctified in the truth.”

“I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

A Mother’s Blessings

A blessing for mothers and godmothers whom God uses as His nurturing instrument,
to be…
The smile,
The caress,
The quiet listener,
The corrective/comforting voice,
…the glimpse of His perfect Love.

A Merry Christmas Season:

"Father, they are your gift to me. I wish that where I am* they also may be with me”

Mary gives birth to “the Light of the World…”

…In quiet, immerse yourself into the ‘Prayer of Jesus’ to His Father. Jesus revealing that you are a gift from the Father to Him (Jesus)
and all who follow Him “will have the Light of Life.”

I highly encourage all of you to pick a quiet space and read, slowly, the Prayer of Jesus to His Father.

While reading, if anything hits you, STOP - allow, at these moments for the Holy Spirit to speak to you; when this moment passes, then continue reading.

“The Prayer of Jesus." John 17: 1-26

1When Jesus had said this, he raised his eyes to heaven* and said, “Father, the hour has come. Give glory to your son, so that your son may glorify you,
2* just as you gave him authority over all people, so that he may give eternal life to all you gave him.

3* Now this is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
4I glorified you on earth by accomplishing the work that you gave me to do.

5Now glorify me, Father, with you, with the glory that I had with you before the world began.
6“I revealed your name* to those whom you gave me out of the world. They belonged to you, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.

7Now they know that everything you gave me is from you,
8because the words you gave to me I have given to them, and they accepted them and truly understood that I came from you, and they have believed that you sent me.

9I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for the ones you have given me, because they are yours,
10and everything of mine is yours and everything of yours is mine, and I have been glorified in them.

11And now I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, while I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are.

12When I was with them I protected them in your name that you gave me, and I guarded them, and none of them was lost except the son of destruction, in order that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13But now I am coming to you. I speak this in the world so that they may share my joy completely.

14I gave them your word, and the world hated them, because they do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world.
15* I do not ask that you take them out of the world but that you keep them from the evil one.
16They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world.

17Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth.
18As you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world.
19And I consecrate myself for them, so that they also may be consecrated in truth.

20“I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word,
21so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me.

22And I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one,
23I in them and you in me, that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me.

24Father, they are your gift to me. I wish that where I am* they also may be with me, that they may see my glory that you gave me, because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
25Righteous Father, the world also does not know you, but I know you, and they know that you sent me.

26I made known to them your name and I will make it known,* that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in them.”

JESUS’ DIVINE MERCY NOVENA (BEGINS GOOD FRIDAY):

The Divine Mercy Novena

Jesus asked that the Feast of the Divine Mercy be preceded by a Novena to the Divine Mercy which would begin on Good Friday. He gave St. Faustina an intention to pray for on each day of the Novena, saving for the last day the most difficult intention of all, the lukewarm and indifferent of whom He said:

"These souls cause Me more suffering than any others; it was from such souls that My soul felt the most revulsion in the Garden of Olives. It was on their account that I said: 'My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass Me by.' The last hope of salvation for them is to flee to My Mercy."

In her diary, St. Faustina wrote that Jesus told her:

"On each day of the novena you will bring to My heart a different group of souls and you will immerse them in this ocean of My mercy ... On each day you will beg My Father, on the strength of My passion, for the graces for these souls."

The different souls prayed for on each day of the novena are:

DAY 1 (Good Friday) - All mankind, especially sinners

DAY 2 (Holy Saturday) - The souls of priests and religious

DAY 3 (Easter Sunday) - All devout and faithful souls

DAY 4 (Easter Monday) - Those who do not believe in Jesus and those who do not yet know Him

DAY 5 (Easter Tuesday) - The souls of separated brethren

DAY 6 (Easter Wednesday) - The meek and humble souls and the souls of children

DAY 7 (Easter Thursday) - The souls who especially venerate and glorify Jesus' mercy

DAY 8 (Easter Friday) - The souls who are detained in purgatory;

DAY 9 (Easter Saturday) - The souls who have become lukewarm.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy may also be offered each day for the day's intention, but is not strictly necessary to the Novena.

A Prayer to Receive the Graces of Divine Mercy Sunday…

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, You promised St. Faustina that the soul that has been to Confession [I have] and the soul that receives Holy Communion with trust in Divine Mercy [I have] will receive the complete forgiveness of all sins and punishment. Lord, please give me this grace.

Jesus, I trust in You.
