THE HISTORY OF COUNCIL 11402
All Saints Council 11402 was constituted in 1994. Our Brother Knights Frank Filipowicz and John Lynch from All Saints parish in Dunwoody, Georgia recognized the need for a local council by the rapidly expanding parish. Their petition was reviewed by General Agent, Douglas Gotsch, under the auspices of the KofC State Council, and with the support of Pastor Msgr. KofC Di

strict Deputy Dwight Person and Field Agent, Rick Abell gave presentations at a meeting held at All Saints on June 14, 1994. Following a favorable response by the men in attendance, a recruitment drive was initiated. Twenty-one active members of other Councils transferred to the newly formed Council 11402. Parish knights who were inactive were contacted and eighteen individuals were reactivated. The drive for new members proved highly successful and thirty five members were initiated on July 11,1994. The membership selected All Saints as the council name at a meeting held on July 26, 1994 and elected a slate of officers; Brother Knight Frank Welter became the first Grand Knight of the newly established Council. Seventy pioneer Knights of All Saints Council began one of the most active and rapidly growing council in the state of Georgia. At the beginning of 2002 we developed a plan for our own meeting area. NATIONAL ORGANIZATION STORY
Order of the Knights of Columbus in 1882. Today, more than a century later, the Knights of Columbus has become the largest lay organization in the Catholic Church. Popes and presidents praised the K of C for their support of the Church, programs of evangelization and Catholic education, civic involvement and aid to those in need. Thanks to the work of millions of Knights over the past century the K of C reached an impressive level of membership, benefits and service. Currently, there are over 1.8 million Knights; together with their families, the Knights are nearly 6 million strong. The Order has grown to almost 14,000 councils in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Panama, Virgin Islands, Guatemala, Philippines, South Korea, Guam, Saipan and Poland. CHARITY, UNITY, FRATERNITY, AND PATRIOTISM
The K of C are Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, and defense of the priesthood. The Order is consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The K of C are unequivocal in their loyalty to the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on earth, are firmly committed to the protection of human life, from conception to natural death, and to the preservation and defense of the family. These bedrock principles are the foundation of the Order from the conception in 1882 till today.
