Start your Independence Day in style with our Star-Spangled Banner July 3rd Open House at the Donaldson- Bannister Farm. Sporting red, white, and blue throughout the venue, step back in time to a bygone era inside the farmhouse, and at 11 am, join us for a flavorful and surprising journey through barbecue traditions that illuminate Georgia’s social, cultural, and civic history.

The “Red, White, and ’Cue: Georgia History Through Barbecue,” presented by James “Trae” Welborn III, Associate Professor of History, Georgia College & State University will explore this favorite and time-honored Southern food tradition and what makes it so special in our state before you fire up your grill on the 4th.

In addition to these complementary activities, LifeSouth will host a Red, White, and Blue Blood Drive from 9 am to 3 pm. Please consider participating in this lifesaving cause for our community.
