Dunnellon Presbyterian Church

Dunnellon Presbyterian Church We gather at 10 am Sundays for worship! What We Believe:

We believe in the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It means Elder.

Since 1893, Dunnellon Presbyterian Church is a group of people joining one another on their individual and collective faith journeys seeking to both proclaim and demonstrate the promises of Christ. We believe in salvation and life eternal through repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior. We believe in the Bible as the holy word of God recorded by the prophets, by God inspired leaders of

the past, and by the apostles of Jesus Christ. We accept the Creeds and Confessions of the Presbyterian Church USA as guides in our understanding of God's messages to believers. We believe in the power of prayer and the primacy of our Lord's teaching to love God, one another, and self as He loves us. About Presbyterianism:

The word "Presbyterian" comes from the Greek word "Presbeteros", which is found numerous times in the New Testament and in the Greek translation of the Old Testament. Thus Presbyterian was used to describe a church with a representative form of government ruled by Elders. These Elders are elected by the church members. There are currently several different groups of Presbyterian Churches

CHURCH BLDGS & GROUNDS WORK DAY
SATURDAY, MARCH 16, 8 AM TO NOON

We need to power wash sidewalks in the Memorial Garden and around the church, as well as the office building itself. We need to clean up the sign, as well. If you have a gas power washer you could bring to help, it should go quickly. We need to paint one wall in the choir room and replace some bulbs. We need to trim bushes, palms, and a tree outside the office. We need to wash windows and clean window ledges, etc. Any amount of time you can spare is appreciated! Thank you!

That’s why we work out our salvation with fear and trembling!

That’s why we work out our salvation with fear and trembling!

Luke 14:26 If any man come to me and hate not his father and mother and wife and children and brethren and sisters, yea and his own life also he cannot be my disciple.
27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.

To many people this comes across as arrogant and self centered until the depth of meaning is realized. There’s no half Christian, we either are or not! Righteousness before all things regarding self means God’s WILL must come first. Jesus demonstrated humbleness in regard to his personal self and laid down his life in love for us and to be Christian we need to do the same by taking up our cross’ and following his way, truth and life in love of God and neighbor.
