Today we’re talking about a part of following Jesus that isn’t always easy to talk about.
Jesus said, “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness.” — Matthew 5:10
What happens when following Jesus brings hostility instead of approval? When standing for what is right costs you something? When your faith is misunderstood, rejected, or even opposed?
Persecution means hostility, oppression, or torment—and throughout Scripture, we see people who chose faithfulness even when it came with a cost.
Today PT takes us through Matthew 5:10–12, Luke 16:16, Acts 7:54, and Luke 23:34 as we continue through the Beatitudes.
Jesus never said following Him would always be easy. But He did remind us that when we suffer for His sake, we are not forgotten, we are not alone, and our reward is in heaven.
We’re glad you’re here with us today. Let’s worship and get into God’s Word together.
