Thank you for your input in last Sunday’s Service (06/09). Your voices were heard and we will be addressing your concerns in the future, and especially at our annual conference. A we seek to adjust worship to the context of a modern world, on-line worship is a main challenge, but has its advantages. To many, they do not have to get up, get dressed and attend a ‘brick-and mortar’ service so it saves time. In addition, the interaction of an NMM on-line service does not consist of ‘spectator worship’ but rather of a deeply involved personal interaction with the family of seekers and believers. I encourage everyone to take time each Sunday to share his/her walk with God through testimonies, prayer requests, praise reports and even personal struggles. In fact, on-line worship can be authentic worship. While religion is changing the world, we must change religion in order to create a more peaceable world.
Among the issues discussed in the service are:
1) Do not over-complicate the gospel- make the message clear and simple.
2) Focus on doctrine and teaching- Proper exegesis to understand the scriptures. Fed by the Word of God.
3) We have lost the power the church is supposed to have- let us restore the power with signs and wonders.
4) Purpose of the church is to develop our relationship with God and with each other.
5) The love of Money and Power- be careful with these corruptible influences.
6) Be part of spiritual warfare- prayer, fasting, hearing from God.

Dr. Sonny Kelly and his family will be accompanying me and my wife on our visit to Kisumu, Kenya, this year. During our time there we will be visiting Maseno University, Moi University, Schools, and several churches in addition to conducting a one-day leadership conference for the community.
At Maseno University, we will discuss developing the entrepreneurship initiative we started last year among Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC), Maseno University, and New Millennium Ministries (NMM). Last year we funded six projects including recycling facility, an aquaculture initiative, two poultry farms, a vegetable farm, and a pig farm. In Bondo, we will be involved in a project funded by the National Institute of Health mobilize performance and public address towards efforts to enhance HIV/AIDS prevention.
The one-day leadership conference is for the entire community, and it is sponsored by the local church. We will also be installing leaders in seven churches in the area. Several of these churches have instituted entrepreneurship programs that help to produce food and employment for the members and the community. We are excited to invest in grassroots sustainability!
