Thursday Morning

“O Lord, in the morning You hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for You and watch” (Psalm 5:3). I offer to You my heartfelt sacrifice of praise, O Lord. I give thanks to You with all my heart. You have surrounded me with so many blessings that I cannot count them. Every little breath I take, every shallow beat of my heart is a gift from You. I may be sick, but I am alive enough to utter this prayer. Help me in my troubles and afflictions, dear Lord. Let me not lose my faith. Come to me in Your Word and Sacraments. Take away my sins, and give me grace to carry on. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
