Harold Vick, who joins us on Sunday nights for the broadcast, received word that his daughter, Erin, who lives in Texas, is battling cancer. We have been praying for Erin. Harold’s wife has gone to Texas to be with her during this ordeal.
Harold forwarded a message he received a few days ago from Erin and he has asked if we can post it on our ministry page as a prayer/support request.
They need the strong shoulders of brothers and sisters in Christ to ‘lean upon’ at this time. Thank you so much. Pastor Eddie.

Update #1 (8/28/22):
Thank you to everyone who has already reached out to me with well wishes, prayers, messages, and phone calls. It means a lot to know that others are thinking about me. Your encouragement has helped tremendously!
Now on to where things are now…..I finished my first round of chemo and faired well with the side effects after three straight days of chemo being pumped into me. I did have extreme fatigue and sensitivity to cold items and liquids during the fours to five days that followed. The nurses have warned me that side effects can get worse once I have more chemo treatments. I start my 2nd round of chemo on Monday (tomorrow 8/29) and will be there for 6 hours. I then have 48 additional hours of chemo through a portable pump. My oncologist wasn’t kidding about us treating this aggressively! My in-between week has been pretty good. I have been able to get out of bed more and stay out of bed for longer periods of time. I have been able to slowly start eating a little more.
I learned this week that even though my school district approved my temporary disability leave, I will be required to pay for my health insurance in its entirety which amounts to almost $700 per month. This is in addition to my new medical bills, plus my other monthly bills such as rent, utilities, car payment, car insurance, cellphone, gas, food, etc. Keep in mind that when a teacher doesn’t work, we don’t get a pay check. So, I have absolutely no income coming in.
I am trusting God that ALL my financial needs will be met along with my health needs!!
