HELLO, St. John friends and family! This is Amanda (Smith) Kane, asking for your support for Living Water Ministries.
Growing up in Dundee at St. John’s, I was blessed to be able to go camp (Stony Lake) for many summers. I loved it so much I became a counselor there in college. Living Water Ministries is a truly special outdoor ministry/camp and I am so happy to be on their Run The Race fundraising team again this year. LWM offers a variety of summer camp programs for youth in grades 1 through 12. They also offer specialty programs including weeks for children in foster care, adults with developmental disabilities, and high school students aspiring to be anti-racist leaders. It is a faith community that welcomes ALL.
Run the Race is LWM’s largest giving campaign. One of the key elements of this fundraising allows them to continue is their “pay what you can” program, which means cost will not be a barrier to any camper.
The race weekend is September 18-20. As part of the racing team, I’m running 15 miles in a relay race/triathalon event. I’m still a ways from my fundraising goal, so I’m reaching out to my St. John’s community. Any amount of support is much needed and very appreciated. Thank you!! ❤️
