Thank you, Pastor Rodney. ❤️
Seven years
Seven years of preaching, praying, leading, serving, encouraging, challenging, laughing, crying, and faithfully saying yes to whatever God asked of you.
On August 30th, Pastor Rodney Cannon preached his final message as the Lead Pastor of Ridge Community Church. It was a Sunday we knew would be emotional, but there was one moment that captured everything we’ve come to know and love about Pastor Rodney.
At the close of the service, Pastor Rodney washed the feet of our new Lead Pastor, Pastor Roy Wilkinson.
It was more than a moment. It was a picture of servanthood. A picture of humility. A picture of one shepherd faithfully passing the torch to the next.
For seven years, Pastor Rodney didn’t just lead RCC from a platform. He served this church with his whole heart. And he didn’t do it alone.
Lindsey has been such a huge part of the RCC family. She has served, loved, encouraged, and poured into this church in countless ways right alongside Rodney. And their children—Charlotte, Ceaton, Caroline, Cadia, and Cera—have grown up serving this church with that same fervent passion.
The Cannon family has given so much of themselves to Ridge Community Church, and we will forever be grateful for the fingerprints they have left on this place.
On Friday the 28th, we had the opportunity to celebrate Pastor Rodney with our church family, along with so many of his friends and family who came to honor him. It was a beautiful reminder of just how many lives have been touched by the Cannon family.
Pastor Rodney, we know this isn't the end of the story. It’s simply the beginning of a new chapter.
We believe God has so much more ahead for you, Lindsey, Charlotte, Ceaton, Caroline, Cadia, and Cera. We know He will continue to bless you, use you, and lead you into everything He has prepared for this next season.
