Help us welcome our new Educational Director at New Life in Christ Lutheran Church in Duncanville, LaVell Wagner!

LaVell is a lifelong Lutheran and a certified teacher with 33 years of K-12 classroom experience in both public and private sectors. She has a huge heart for kids and a vibrant vision to revitalize our Sunday School program by reaching out into our local community through our newly named Leap Children & Youth Ministries. Her goal is to plant lasting seeds of faith so the next generation always knows they can lean on Jesus and carry forward the Lutheran legacy of grace. Her prayer for this new chapter comes from Psalm 90:16-17: 'Let your work be manifest to your servants, and your glorious power to their children. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands.'

Family is everything to LaVell. She has been married for 46 years to her husband, Tim (a retired firefighter), and shares a home with their beloved cousin, Jimmy, two dogs, and two cats. She is a proud mom to two sons and a doting grandmother who loves spending time with her grandkids, Hendrix and Violet. In her free time, you'll find her reading, watching old movies, or dining out with loved ones.

We are so blessed to have her leadership, and we look forward to growing Leap Children & Youth Ministries together!
