“It’s Not Time Yet?”

Scripture

Haggai 1:2 (KJV)
“Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the Lord's house should be built.”

Reflection

The people of Israel had returned from exile, but instead of rebuilding the Lord’s temple, they poured their energy into building their own homes and pursuing their own comfort. They kept saying, “It’s not time yet.”

God gently confronts their delay, reminding them that His work should never be pushed aside. When we delay obedience, we rob ourselves of God’s blessing. When we put Him first, everything else falls into place (Matthew 6:33).

This verse challenges us: Are we postponing prayer, service, or obedience because we feel it’s “not the right time”? The truth is — there will never be a perfect time. The time is now.

Prayer

Lord, forgive me for every excuse I have made in delaying Your work. Give me the courage to obey You promptly, and the wisdom to prioritize Your kingdom over my own comfort. May my heart be quick to say “Yes” when You call. Amen.

Prayer Challenge

This week, set aside intentional time to “rebuild God’s house” in your own life. That may mean restoring your prayer altar, reconnecting with fellowship, or stepping out in obedience to something God has already told you to do.

Journaling Question

What have I been putting off with the excuse, “It’s not time yet”? How can I begin today to realign my priorities with God’s?

🌿 The God Who Sees – Hagar’s Story 🌿

“Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, ‘You are the God who sees me.’ For she said, ‘I have now seen the One who sees me.’” – Genesis 16:13

Hagar’s journey reminds us that even in the wilderness, even in moments when we feel forgotten, God sees us. She was cast aside, abandoned, and alone — yet the Lord Himself met her where she was. He gave her hope, a promise, and a future.

Many women today can relate to Hagar’s pain — misunderstood, rejected, or overlooked. But take heart: the same God who saw Hagar sees you. He knows your struggles, your tears, and your silent prayers. And just as He gave Hagar a promise, He is faithful to bring you into your destiny.

Reflection:

You are never invisible to God. Your wilderness is not the end, but the place where God reveals Himself as El Roi — the God who sees you.

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, thank You for seeing me when I feel unseen. Thank You for meeting me in the wilderness and giving me hope. Help me to trust Your promises and walk in Your presence. Amen.

Question:
When have you felt unseen, and how did God show you that He was with you?

The Persistent Widow – Faith That Refuses to Quit

"Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: 'There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, "Get justice for me from my adversary."' … Then the Lord said, 'Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?'"
— Luke 18:1-8 (NKJV)

Reflection

The persistent widow’s story is short but powerful. She had no influential husband, no wealth, and no status — yet she had a voice. She faced an unjust judge who neither feared God nor cared for people, but she refused to be silent. She kept showing up. She kept making her request known. And finally, she got her answer — not because the judge suddenly became righteous, but because her persistence wore him down.
For today’s woman, persistence is often tested in prayer, in our goals, in our family life, and even in the fight for justice. The world may tell us to “give up” or “accept things as they are,” but this parable reminds us that heaven moves when women refuse to quit in the place of prayer.
Jesus gave us this story so we “always pray and not lose heart.” In a world where there is injustice, heartbreak, and delay, God’s daughters are called to be women who pray relentlessly, speak boldly, and stand firmly until we see God’s hand move.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding me through the persistent widow that You honor perseverance. Teach me to pray without ceasing and to trust You even when the answer seems delayed. Remove every spirit of discouragement, and clothe me with boldness, faith, and unwavering hope. May my life be a testimony of persistence that brings Your will to pass on earth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer Challenge

This week, commit to bringing the same prayer request before God every single day, without changing your confession or losing faith, until you see a shift.

Question

What is one area of my life where I’ve been tempted to give up? How can I persist in prayer and action until God answers?

Devotional: "Faith That Pushes Through"

Scripture:
“For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.” – Mark 5:28-29 (KJV)

Reflection

The woman with the issue of blood had been suffering for twelve long years. She spent all her resources seeking help from physicians, but her condition only grew worse (Mark 5:25-26). She faced isolation due to the law that deemed her “unclean” (Leviticus 15:25-27). Her life was marked by pain, rejection, shame, and hopelessness—yet she refused to give up.

Her turning point came when she heard about Jesus. She made a decision that transformed her destiny: she would press through the crowd, despite her weakness, and touch the hem of His garment. Her faith in Jesus’ power healed her instantly.

For today’s women, the challenges might not be a physical issue of blood but issues of the heart, mind, finances, relationships, or identity. We, too, may face feelings of isolation, shame, or despair. But like this woman, we are called to rise, push past the crowd of fear, doubt, and voices that say “it’s impossible,” and reach out to Jesus in faith.

Encouragement for Women

Faith still heals today. No situation is too far gone for God’s touch.

Your persistence matters. Even when the world turns its back, keep pressing toward Jesus.

You are not defined by your struggle. Just like the woman with the issue of blood, your story can end in victory and restoration.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the example of the woman with the issue of blood. Teach me to have unwavering faith, even when my circumstances seem impossible. Help me to press through fear, shame, and doubt to touch the hem of Your garment. Restore every broken part of my life—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Strengthen me to believe that my story, like hers, will end in victory.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer Challenge

This week, identify one area of your life where you need healing or breakthrough. Each day, pray in faith and declare, “If I can just touch Jesus with my faith, I shall be made whole.”
Journaling Question

What “crowds” (fears, voices, past failures) have been keeping me from fully reaching out to Jesus?

What steps of faith can I take this week to press closer to Him?

Such a Time as This: The Esther Within You

📖 Scripture:

“For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place... and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
— Esther 4:14 (KJV)

✨ Reflection:

Esther’s story is not just about royalty—it’s about divine positioning, silent strength, and bold obedience. A young woman, orphaned and raised by her cousin Mordecai, Esther was thrust into the palace, not by chance, but by divine appointment. She hid her identity. She fasted. She waited. And then, she spoke up—not for fame, but for deliverance. Esther faced threats we cannot fully imagine—a law that could cost her life, a king she could not approach uninvited, and a people who were counting on her silence turning into courage.

Today’s woman, like Esther, is often placed in environments where she must speak up for truth, stand for family, and intercede for her community. But many are tired, discouraged, or unsure if their voice even matters.

Esther reminds us:
You don’t need a title to have authority. You don’t need a platform to have impact.
You just need to know you are chosen for such a time as this. In every boardroom, hospital room, kitchen, prayer room, and place of waiting—God is raising modern-day Esthers who will not be silent.

Prayer Challenge:

Spend today interceding for three women in your life who may not know they are “Esthers.” Call out their names before the Lord and ask Him to awaken the call and courage within them. Pray that they will rise up in their homes, ministries, and communities with holy boldness.

✍🏾 Journaling Question:

What is one area of your life where God might be asking you to speak up or take a bold step of obedience like Esther?

July 1st Prayer for Women

A New Beginning Rooted in God's Promises
Scripture:

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
— Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

We step into this new month of July with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your sustaining power, Your mercy that has brought us through, and Your faithfulness that never fails. Lord, as women of purpose, promise, and prayer, we dedicate this month to You.

Father, according to Your Word in Isaiah 43:19, You are doing a new thing. So we open our hearts to perceive it. We let go of old disappointments, past burdens, and lingering fears, and we receive Your fresh wind of hope, healing, and direction. Let new beginnings bloom in our homes, in our hearts, in our relationships, and in our spiritual walk with You.

Establish our feet on solid ground, O God. Make a way in every wilderness we’ve been wandering in—be it confusion, grief, delay, or emotional pain. Let streams of joy, strength, and wisdom flow through every dry place in our lives.

Lord, bless every woman reading this prayer. Crown her with confidence. Cloak her in peace. Fill her with divine ideas, discernment, and a prayer life that overflows with power. As daughters of the King, we declare we will not walk in fear but in faith. We receive this month as a gift, and we embrace it as women appointed for such a time as this. Thank You, Father, for the beautiful things You have prepared ahead.

In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.

The Wailing Women - Weekly Devotional

The Power Hidden in Lament

"Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy." – Psalm 126:5 (NIV)

We often think that being strong means holding it all together. But Scripture shows us that God listens intently to the cries of His daughters. Women like Hannah, Naomi, and Mary Magdalene wept in anguish—and Heaven responded. Lament is not a sign of weakness, but a doorway into prophetic release. When we allow ourselves to weep in God's presence, we’re not breaking down—we’re breaking through. God doesn’t just tolerate our tears; He treasures them (Psalm 56:8). In the kingdom of God, lament is a sacred language that moves the heart of the Father. This week, embrace your tears as prayer.

Prayer: Father, thank You for being close to the brokenhearted. Teach me to see my tears not as signs of failure, but as seeds of faith. Help me pour out my heart before You and find healing in Your presence. Turn my sorrow into strength and my mourning into movement.

Prayer Challenge: Take 15 minutes each day this week to simply be still before the Lord. If tears come, don’t hide them. Let your weeping become worship. What does the Holy Spirit reveal to you?

What pain have you been holding back that God may be inviting you to release through prayer?

“They wept between the porch and the altar...” – Joel 2:17
