Things are much different today than they were just a few months ago.
We gathered together for events, gathered at ball games, gathered in the movie theaters, gathered for Church Services and so on. Today we live in an ever changing world, the way you did things yesterday is not guaranteed that will be the way you do the same thing today.
There is one thing that is guaranteed never to change and that is the Word of GOD.
Isaiah 40 Verse 8 says:
"8. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever."
There are many places in the King James Version of the Holy Bible that GOD promises us that he will always preserve his word.
Since Satan can never get GOD to break his promise, he tries his hardest to confuse GOD's Word instead.
Even as far back as the Garden of Eden, Satan tried to confuse the Word's of GOD.
Genesis Chapter 2 Verses 15-17 says:
"15. And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it."
"16. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:"
"17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."
This was the commandment that GOD gave to man. But, Satan caused the serpent to tell Eve in Genesis Chapter 3 Verses 1-5:
"1. Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?"
"2. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:"
"3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die."
"4. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:"
"5. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."
Satan challenged what GOD had commanded and changed it trying to convince Eve that she would not die, but instead her eyes would be opened and she would be as a god, knowing good and evil.
Satan made it sound very inviting to break the commandment of GOD. This caused Eve to be confused by the Word of GOD, and because of this confusion the first sin of man was committed.
Satan has never stopped confusing man with what GOD has said. Satan is the author of confusion he causes men to pervert and alter GOD's Word.
Some of the reasons that a lot of men are changing what GOD's Word says are because:
1. They do not life what it says. Rather than to humble themselves and change their way of thinking and behaving they alter GOD's Word. They are a lot like King Jehoiakim, In Jeremiah 36 there is the Story of GOD giving Jeremiah words to be read to his people and to the king.
Jeremiah 36 Verses 1 and 2 say:
"1. And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,"
"2. Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day."
Then the Bible tells us a little later in the chapter in Verses 21-23:
"21. So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king."
"22. Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him."
"23. And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth."
Because he did not like what the Words of GOD was telling him, the king tried to destroy it. But, if you read on in Chapter 36 of Jeremiah, GOD has the book roll written again.
GOD will always preserve his true word. The True Word of GOD is still preserved today in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.
In order to hide from the True Word of GOD, Satan will have them alter the Words of GOD, or to leave out important truth's to suite their own needs.
2. They want the people hearing or reading the altered version of GOD's Word to believe the way the do.
Satan will have religions that don't want you to know that Jesus is the son of GOD, or that His shed blood is what saves you, and that good works will not save you from Hell.
Satan knows that if you read or hear the altered Word of GOD, that you will tend to believe what they believe.
3. They change the wording so the Word of GOD will not convict or bother them. Those that are bothered by what the Bible teaches about things such as homosexuality, drinking, Jesus's virgin birth, the Trinity, the return of Jesus and so on create their own version of GOD's word.
They alter it to the way they would like it to read, so that when they read their version, they will not feel bad or be convicted by their life style, their actions, their sins or their way of thinking.
4. They change it so that many will not go to heaven or be strong Christians. Satan is behind the Bible deceptions because he wants to keep as many as possible out of heaven. If they get saved he wants to keep them from growing and being strong Christians by knowing the full truth so they can obey it. The unsaved and weak Christians do not want to hear the full truth, and he causes them to not want to hear it.
5. They want to make money.
A lot of the men that alter GOD's Word, do it for monetary gain. They leave out or change important things to make more people comfortable with it, so they can get them to give them money to continue to comfort more people to get more money and on and on. They know that more people are going to buy the book the comforts and kills, instead of the book that hurts and heals.
The bottom line is that we have the inspired preserved, inerrant Word of GOD between the pages of the King James Version of the Holy Bible.
It is not the mind of man that applies the Words of GOD to our hears and lives it is the Holy Spirit of GOD that shows us what it means.
1 Corinthians Chapter 2 Verses 13-14 say:
"13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."
"14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
This means that understanding the True Word of GOD can not be done by the mind of man, it can only be done through Spiritual Discernment, in other words, understanding can only come from the Holy Spirit.
Especially in this time of confusion in the world it is very important that we do not take what man is telling us, we need to turn to the Holy Spirit and to the Holy Bible.
Only GOD can get us through this life, and even if we are not meeting in the Church Buildings, we need to continue to study and rely on the True Word of GOD.
Not meeting is not an excuse to turn our back on GOD, he definitely will not turn his back on us.
