Today we honor the Stars and Stripes, a symbol of our nation's history, freedom, and unity. As we celebrate Flag Day, let us remember those who have served and sacrificed to protect the liberties we enjoy and give thanks for the blessings of living in this great country.

May we continue to work together with respect, compassion, and hope, striving to be good neighbors and faithful stewards of the freedoms we have been given.

Promises of the Triune God

Holy Trinity Sunday reminds us that we don't have to fully understand the mystery of God to trust God's promises.

In Baptism, God speaks words of grace over our lives:

❤️ Beloved child of God
✝️ Marked with the cross of Christ forever
🕊️ Sealed with the Holy Spirit

As you begin each day this week, take a moment to remember these promises. You might even make the sign of the cross and say them aloud:

I am a beloved child of God,
sealed with the Holy Spirit,
and marked with the cross of Christ forever.

No matter what this week brings, these promises remain true. God claims you, Christ redeems you, and the Holy Spirit walks with you every day. Thanks be to God.
