Got out of the shower today doing my normal routine, talking to the man in the mirror and a funny little saying come to my mind “when the devil reminds you of your past, remind him of his future,” and I just begin to chuckle because I remember one time I made that statement and Holy Spirit revealed to me how the conversation might go and it was like this:

“Jody, I know God saved you and I know how much you think He loves you, but hey little man, remember that past, remember how far gone you were remember all the things you did, said, and have done, remember that?? So . . . I bolstered up courage and said, “Yes, Satan, but you remember where you’re going, you remember what’s been done, you remember the final chapter?! And his response was: “you think I don’t know, YOU THINK I DON’T KNOW??? You see,here’s the thing,I’m never gonna quit!! If I can’t have you, I’ll take your children, and if I can’t have your children, I’ll take your children’s children. You see where this is going??? And if I can’t take that, I’ll take your health, wealth, I’ll take your bride. I’ll take every single dear to you, because I NEVER QUIT!!!!” The statement that got me the most was this: Satan speaking:

“I am amazed at how many of you winners quit. The battle has been one. The Victor has has been announced, and yet so many of you are so easily defeated, you haven’t lost yet, you just simply quit.” And diabolical laughter faded.

 You see guys we have a formable pho that is quite aware of how this thing ends up. So right now his goal is “collateral damage.” What is dear to you?? Seek the Word that is living and active, sharper than any two edge sword ……..HIM.

♡ NO SECRETS ♡
For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. LUKE 8:17

One of Satan's subtle deceptions is that you can do things in secret that will never be revealed. This is simply not so. The Bible stresses that everything done in darkness will one day be brought to light. So before you commit yourself to do anything questionable, seriously ask yourself, "Am I willing for those around me to know what I am about to do? Am I willing for God to watch me participate in this activity?"

The knowledge that God sees what we do, the certainty that we are accountable for every word and action, ought to dissuade us from sin *(2 Cor. 5:10). But we can become so alienated from God that even this knowledge does not deter us. God promises that He will publicly expose our sin so that we must give an account to others for our actions. Ultimately, everything we do will be exposed on Judgment Day.

Still, some people believe they can sin against God, their families, their employers, or their friends and never be discovered. God has provided a safeguard against sin: the certainty of disclosure. Scripture commands us to expose the deeds of darkness as we become aware of them *(Eph. 5:11). As Christians we are to be the light that dispels darkness in our world. Sin cannot continue in the Christian's experience, for light cannot dwell with darkness. The only insurance against having your sins exposed is living a blameless life."

TURN AWAY FROM DISCOURAGING VOICES
"And David turned away from Eliab…" (I Samuel 17:30, AMP).

When David was a shepherd boy, his father asked him to take lunch to his brothers out on the battlefield. When he arrived, he heard Goliath taunting and challenging the people of God. David asked the men standing around, "What is the prize for defeating this giant?" They said, "The reward is one of the king’s daughters in marriage and no more taxes." That got David’s attention. He knew this was a battle worth fighting.

When David’s older brother, Eliab, heard him talking about fighting the giant, he tried to embarrass him. In front of all those men Eliab said, "David, what are you doing out here? And what have you done with those few sheep our father left you with?" He tried to make him feel small. He was saying, "David, you’re not important. You’ll never do anything great." But I love the way David responded. The Scripture says that David turned and walked away from Eliab. I believe one of the main reasons that David was a champion is because he knew which battles to fight. He knew to turn away from discouraging voices so he could focus his energy on the real battle.

What are the discouraging voices coming against you? Choose to turn away from those distractions so you can turn toward the victory God has in store for you!
