TESTIMONY OF A CHRISTIAN

Every Religion or belief will ultimately be judged and proven to a watching world by the people it makes.

A godly, obedient, and faithful life is the best sermon. The most compelling argument! The most persuasive appeal. Read Matt. 5: 3-11; 38-48; 6:1-15

A holy life has a voice. It speaks when the tongue is silent and is either a constant attraction or a continual reproof.

It is best when the Lord writes our name on people's hearts rather than a craftsman writing it on marble slabs.

A NEW YEAR'S DISCLAIMER FOR 2026

It is plain that the values, ethics, and morality of our culture have changed much and are being challenged by radical liberals and Atheists as we begin the year 2026.

This attitude that everything and anything is ok and should not be challenged is unbiblical and the haven of cowards, sissies, and dimwits.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me about my posts, columns, or my preaching. All I ask is that I can present God's word as I see it and that my audience listens with an open mind and Bible. Then, if you disagree, show me where I am wrong, unbiblical, or "unfriend" me and stop reading what I write.

I pray that all my family, friends, and Church folks will have a
safe and great New Year. My hope is that Jesus will return this year. He is our Blessed Hope. May every saved person live their life so that when He returns or should He call us Home, that we will rejoice and not be ashamed at His coming! WEN

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.

FAMILY OF GOD. Means all the saved of all time, including infants who die, good angels, living and dead believers. Some are on earth, and some are in heaven. Cf. Acts 15: 9-11; Gal. 3:26; Eph. 3:15.

KINGDOM OF HEAVEN/GOD. This should NOT be confused with the Davidic or Millennial kingdom. The Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God are synonymous [cp.]. Mt. 4:17 with Mark 1:15.] Normally, the concept means all the living believers on earth at any given time. Entrance is by way of the New birth [John 3: 1-8] and does not come with observation [Lk. 17: 20,21] Note, the parables Mat. 13 -14. It implies that the recipient has the reign of Christ in his/her heart--Cf. John the Baptist [Mt. 3:2; Lk. 16:16; Jesus, [Mt. 4:17, 23; 9:35; 24:14; Lk. 9:2] Paul,[ 1 Cor. 4:20; Col. 1:13; 4:11; 1 Thes. 2:12]

GHRIST'S CHURCH is both a living organism and an organization. It is Christ’s visible assembly of saved believers, voluntarily united together in a covenant of faith. These believers observe the ordinances of Christ [baptism by immersion and Communion], obey the great commission, and exhibit the gifts vested in them by the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit.

THE CAUSE, CURSE, AND CONSEQUENCE OF SEXUAL PERVERSION
Romans 1:18-28

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things.

DOCTOR VISIT
Thanks to all who prayed for the Kidney doctor visit. I am good for another six months. Minor issue, but no significant problems. Also had a good opportunity to speak with the staff about Christ and to hand out Gospel literature.

I do appreciate the prayers of God's people. WEN

Our Story

Grace Baptist Chapel is an old-fashioned, independent Bible-Believing Baptist Church. Our assembly meets in the village of Little Summit in Dunbar Twp., Pennsylvania. We enjoy the old hymns and fervent preaching. We are a friendly church and offer great Children's Ministries and will be honored by your visit. However, I want to be candid about what we believe at Grace Baptist Chapel. I recognize that we all have a right in America to our opinions and I am certainly glad that the liberty and opportunity to express them are still available in this great country.

I also am aware that there is a need for essential unity in any biblical church. Nonetheless, the ground of that unity must always be based on an acceptance of certain essential dictums. None of these principles are more important than a most basic Christian doctrine, namely, that for a Christian, the Bible is the final, authoritative, preserved, inerrant and infallible word of God. Since I am a constant critic and opponent of both political and religious “political correctness” I want to offer my critics additional “evidence” of just how far I have strayed from the “mainstream” of current ecclesiastical correctness.

Ridicule me if you must or criticize me if you wish…this is undoubtedly your right …but let me be clear about a few things. Here goes. I don’t believe that women pastors are biblical, and therein, are detrimental to traditional and true Christianity. I am against Liberalism, the New Age philosophy, accommodating compromisers, the New Evangelicalism, cults, “New Wave Christianity,” the alleged “more-up-to date” Bible translations, and all “new” prophetic and extra-biblical revelation.

I will not support nor endorse any preacher or politician who is for abortion, homosexual marriage, open borders, socialized medicine, downgrading our military, more gun control, or limiting free speech. I believe in biblical Creationism and oppose even Theistic Evolution. I feel it is essential that as a nation that we have absolute religious freedom. It is imperative that all must have total liberty to belong to any religion one may choose, and, also to freely practice whatever their conscience dictates so long as those beliefs and their practices do no harm to others. We must be able to believe anything or, should one choose to do so, we must be free to believe nothing at all.

But that said, I am absolutely convinced that every religion except biblical Christianity is false, futile and inspired by Satan. And that if you are not “born again” or “saved” that you are lost and on your way to eternal damnation. I deplore the United Nations, the EPA, the IRS, “Planned Parenthood,” the ACLU, "Black Lives Matter," the K*K, Neo-Nazis, and any other white or black hate groups. I support and thank God for our police, military, and veterans. I disdain Muslim jihadism, Communism, Socialism, Radicalism, Feminism, Chuck Schumer, Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren, and the Baltimore Ravens.

I don’t care for or listen to Rock music, Hip Hop, Rap music, New Age music, or even contemporary Christian. I am opposed to hyper-Calvinism, radical Pentecostalism, the excesses of the Charismatic Movement, Ecumenism, the National Council of Churches, cultists, and the coldness and apathy in most churches [especially the ones that are called Baptist.] I don’t care much for tattoos on women and earrings on men or nose rings in anything but male cows. I am not real comfortable with manly-acting and vulgar talking women nor do I care to be around girly, sissy-acting men. I believe that no one can go to heaven without personally receiving Christ as Savior regardless of church affiliation.

I am a Bible-believing Baptist by conviction and would be embarrassed if I was not. I believe that all Christians should be faithful to their church services unless providentially hindered from being there. At home, I think Christians should regularly pray and read and study God’s word. I believe that both inside and outside the home, every Christian should be Christ-like in conduct, discreet in our behavior and speech, be honest in business, reliable in our promises, and strive to be kind and a “good neighbor” to everybody or else shut-up about being a Christian.

I don’t think a preacher’s sermon should be used to flatter any person or trimmed to keep from ruffling feathers. Neither should a sermon be determined or watered-down because of WHO might be in the congregation on a particular day. But this does not mean that any preacher has a right to be crude, hateful in spirit, needlessly offensive, or to mistreat anyone. I detest gossip, slander, lying, windbags, betrayal, boasters, the self-absorbed, and a know-it-all. I believe that everything we do should be “unto the Lord” and we should be the very best we are capable of being for His glory.

I believe that Christ is worthy of all praise!! I am not going to change. I am too old, too cranky and too convinced that I am right. But most of all, I love and fear the Lord too much and am too close to meeting Him to be overly distraught about people criticizing or disliking me. By the way, I don't like Santa Clause or the Easter Bunny--- [unless they are made of chocolate covered marshmallow.]
