Potomac Valley Church

Potomac Valley Church POVA is a church in Dumfries, VA committed to practical Christianity—worship, Scripture, communion, and community that carries into everyday life.

Sundays at 11:00 AM. Potomac Valley Church (PoVa Church) is a friendly, casual place to meet Jesus, learn the Scriptures, and live out practical Christianity in everyday life—at home, at work, and in our relationships. We welcome you to come comfortably and explore the gospel with us each week. If you’re new, we don’t want you guessing what’s next. We help people take next steps at their own pace—

no pressure, no mystery—starting with a quick New Here orientation right after service, and a monthly Membership Class when you’re ready. On Sundays you can expect worship through song, a Bible-based message, weekly communion, and plenty of fellowship. Kids and MS/HS Students are cared for with safe, age-appropriate teaching, and there are Small Groups and personal Bible studies to help you grow.

Building a life of purpose starts with the foundation you lay when no one is watching. 🧱✨

How is your faith actually built? Is it a Sunday morning feeling, or is it a set of core convictions that hold steady when the world starts to shake?
In our current sermon series, we are diving deep into:
• Formation: Who are you becoming?
• Discipleship: Walking the path, not just talking about it.
• Kingdom Principles: Living by a higher standard.

It’s time to move beyond the surface and get serious about the roots of our faith. Whether you feel rock solid or you’re currently questioning your blueprint, there is a seat at the table for you.

Join the conversation! How do you stay grounded in your convictions? Drop a "🙌" if you're ready to grow with us this week, or comment below one thing that helps you stay focused on the Kingdom!

Taking a second to look back at our Easter celebration and honestly, we’re still speechless. There’s something so powerful about seeing God move in a room full of people who are expectant for His presence.

This year wasn’t just about the service; it was about the heart shift.

We saw:
* A Movement of Prayer: Seeing so many of you lean into the Father’s heart was the most beautiful part of the morning.
* Faith in Action: From our incredible volunteers who served with tireless joy to those who reached out to welcome a stranger, the Gospel was alive and active.
* The Warmth of Family: The “welcome home” energy reminds us that we aren’t just a congregation—we are a family.

The tomb is still empty, and the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is still working in our city through you.

We want to hear from you: What was your favorite moment from Easter service? Drop a comment below and let’s keep the celebration going! 👇

Do you have room in your heart for that kind of closeness? 🤔

When Jesus is at your center, your core, nothing else can compete for that sacred space. It’s reserved, it’s prepared, it’s holy.

Are you willing to make space for Him above all else this season? Let us know in the comments! 👇

“The holidays can be hard for so many people, but it can be especially difficult for foster kids. In addition to collecting Christmas gifts for struggling families this year, Potomac Valley Church also donated toys for foster children in Prince William County. We're deeply thankful for the way so many friends and family came together to show generosity and love this holiday season. Merry Christmas!

Christ the Savior is Born! 🕯️✨

This Advent season, we are called to more than just anticipation—we are called to transformation. The light of the world is coming, but first, we must examine the dark corners of our hearts. Let us actively prepare Him room by clearing out the clutter of distraction, doubt, and worry, and making space for His redeeming love to truly dwell.

Don’t just wait for the miracle; participate in it. Join us for worship this week as we intentionally journey toward the light and allow the Savior to be born anew within us.

If you don’t know the King... if you haven’t submitted, repented, and been baptized, I want to encourage you: Don’t wait! 🙏 Experience the victory that changes everything. It’s good, and it’s for you.
