Life can change quickly. Trials come, burdens grow heavy, and sometimes we simply don’t know what tomorrow holds.

But Revelation 1 reminds us of this wonderful truth: Jesus is in the midst!

Our hearts are filled with gratitude and excitement as we look forward to a very special day in the life of our church family. On Sunday, September 13—just two Sundays away—we will gather to celebrate 78 wonderful years of God's faithfulness to and through New BBC!

What a blessing it is to look back and remember all that God has done through the years and to celebrate the people, memories, and ministry that have made New BBC such a special place. Most of all, we are thankful for God's continued faithfulness and look forward with excitement to all He has in store for our church family!

We hope you will make plans to join us for this special day of worship, fellowship, food, music, and fun. It just wouldn't be the same without you!

🎉 Our Anniversary Celebration Will Include:

~ One special morning service at 10:30 AM (No Sunday School that morning)
~ Former music leader Ronnie Warren leading our congregational singing
~ A special message from our guest preacher, Michael Truman
~ A delicious fajita lunch immediately following the morning service
~ A special concert featuring Ronnie and Mary Lou Warren
~ Games, fellowship, and plenty of time to enjoy one another's company following the concert!

This is a wonderful opportunity for our church family to come together, reconnect with old friends, welcome new ones, and simply enjoy being together. We hope you will invite your family, friends, and neighbors to join us as well!

If you don’t go to meet with your church because there are hypocrites there, you should probably stop going to hospitals too.

There are only sick people at hospitals.

Hmmm.

Kinda like there are only sinners in churches.

Are you going to meet with the people or to show up and worship Jehovah God?

Tomorrow is Sunday. He’d love to see you there.

Tonight we conclude our study through Jude with an encouraging promise:

“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling…” — Jude 24

HE HOLDS ME FAST

Our security is not in how tightly we hold onto Christ, but in how securely Christ holds onto us.

We may stumble. We may struggle. But those whom Christ truly saves, He keeps.

If you belong to a church long enough, eventually it will disappoint you.

Someone will make a decision you disagree with.

A ministry you love will change.

A song you dislike will be sung.

Someone will overlook you.

The pastor will disappoint you.

People you trusted will hurt you.

But not every disappointment is evidence that we need another church.

Sometimes disappointment is where discipleship begins.

Because covenant community forces us to confront something consumer culture allows us to avoid:

People are difficult.

Including us.

If I leave every community when it becomes uncomfortable, I may protect myself from difficult people.

I may also protect myself from becoming the kind of person who knows how to forgive, endure, reconcile, and love.

Sometimes the church that disappoints you is also the church through which God exposes something in you.

Not every discomfort is a sign to leave.

Some discomforts are invitations to grow.

FROM GOD WITH LOVE ❤️
