FROM SUFFERING TO GLORY | Romans 8:28–39

Life can bring suffering we don't understand and questions we cannot answer. But our hope is not found in having all the answers. Our hope is found in the faithfulness of God.

Romans 8 reminds us that God is working according to an eternal purpose, and that nothing—not suffering, loss, or even death—can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

Join us this Sunday as we look at “From Suffering to Glory” and the unshakable hope we have in Christ.

Funeral services honoring the life of Briana Dawn Curran will be held at 10 o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Encounter Church with Pastor Frank Gordoa officiating.

The public is encouraged to pay their respects on Tuesday from 5 o'clock in the afternoon until 7 o'clock in the evening at Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

It is with hope in Christ that we share Briana Curran is now with Jesus.

“We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”

The Curran family would like to sincerely thank everyone who prayed, searched, and supported them throughout this difficult time. They are especially grateful to Encounter Church, the volunteers, first responders, law enforcement, and our entire community for the incredible love, compassion, and unity that was shown.

Church Family,

We want to provide an update regarding Briana Curran's disappearance. At this time, law enforcement is actively handling and coordinating the search. We encourage everyone to continue keeping an eye out for Briana and to remain alert for anything that may be helpful to the search.

Please do not come to the church at this time for search directions or to organize a search. We ask that everyone please respect the privacy and space of the Curran family as they walk through this incredibly difficult time.

Above all, please continue to pray for Briana's safe return and for strength, peace, and comfort for the entire Curran family.

If another organized civilian search is needed, we will share those details through the Encounter Church page.

Church service will be held this Sunday at 10:00 AM as normal.
