Because there are many who have assumed the title of an "Apostle" we feel it necessary for the protection of those who may be persuaded to follow after them to give this Bible study which covers the Apostles Doctrine. If one carries the title of an "Apostle" then they will teach and live according to what is taught in the scriptures. Otherwise we can recognize them to be false teachers....
In a world of religious confusion there are millions of perplexed and bewildered souls who are earnestly seeking amid the maze of men’s traditions to find the true doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ.
It is a comfort to have God’s Word so that every voice can be silenced. And we can read for ourselves God’s plan for our salvation because we most certainly do not want to miss heaven.
This is why we must heed the prophet’s word’s “Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.” (Jer.6:16)

Thus, it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day; and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold I send the promise of my Father upon you but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. (Lk.24:46-49)
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. ( Acts 1:8)

Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. ( Acts 2:38)

Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accused. (Gal.1:9)

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. (Eph.2:20)
As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine. (I Tim.1:3)
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (II Tim. 3:16)

The Apostles Doctrine
The Bible:
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, giving a true History of the creation of heaven, earth, and humanity and contains a correct prophecy of the ages to come regarding heaven, earth, and the destiny of humanity. Moreover, there is no salvation outside of what is taught in it’s pages.

God:

There is only one God (Duet.6:4) He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator) in the Son ( Savior) and as the Holy Ghost ( indwelling Spirit).

Father:
God is a Spirit (Jn 4:24) He is the eternal One, the Creator of all things, and the Father of all humanity by creation.
He is the First and the Last, and beside Him there is no God. (Isaiah 43:10)

Son:
Jesus is the Son of God according to the flesh. (Rom. 1:3) and the very God Himself according to the Spirit (Matt.1:23)
Jesus is the Christ (Matt.16:16); the Creator of all things ( Coll.1:16-17); God with us ( Matt.1:23); God made flesh ( Jn.1:1-14); God manifested in the flesh ( I Tim.3:16); He which was, which is, and which is to come, the Almighty ( Rev.1:8); the mighty God, everlasting Father, and Prince of peace ( Is.9:6)
Jesus himself testified of His identity as God when He said, “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (Jn.14:7-11) and “I and my Father are one.” (Jn.10:30)

It took shedding of blood for the remission of the sins of the World (Heb.9:22) but God the Father was a Spirit and had no blood to shed. So, He prepared a body of flesh and blood (Heb.10:5) and came to earth as a man in order to save us, for in Isaiah 43:11 He said, “Beside me there is no Savior.” When He came in flesh the angels sang, “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” (Lk.2:11)

Holy Ghost:
The Holy Ghost is not a third person in the Godhead, but rather the Spirit of God (the Creator), the Spirit of the resurrected Christ. The Holy Ghost comes to dwell in the hearts and lives of everyone who believes and obeys the gospel, as the Comforter, Sustainer, and keeper( Jn.14:16-26) ,Rom.8:9-11)
Sin:
Sin is the transgression of the law, or commandments of God (I Jn.3:4). The guilt of sin has fallen upon all humanity from Adam until now (Rom. 3:23). The wages of sin is eternal death(Rom.6:23; Rev.20:14) to all those who refuse to accept salvation as set forth in the Word of God.
Salvation:
Salvation consists of deliverance from all sin and unrighteousness through the blood of Jesus Christ. The New Testament experience of salvation consists of repentance from sin, water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, after which the Christian is to live a godly life. (Acts 2:36-41)
Water Baptism is an essential part of the New Testament salvation and not merely a symbolic ritual. It is part of entering into the kingdom of God(God’s church, the bride of Christ), and therefore, it is not merely a part of local church membership. See Jn. 3:5;
Gal.3:27)

Mode of Baptism:
Water baptism is to be administered only by immersion. Paul said, “We are buried with him (Jesus Christ) by baptism (Rom.6:4) see Coll.2:12) Jesus came up “out of the water in Mark 1:10 when John the Baptist baptized him. And Phillip and then eu**ch went down “into the water” and came up “out of the water” (Acts 8:38-39)
Sprinkling, pouring or infant baptism of any kind can not be substantiated by the Word of God, but are only human traditions.
Formula for water baptism:
The name in which baptism is administered is vitally important and this name is Jesus.
Jesus last command to his disciples was, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. (Matt.28:19).
We should notice that He said (NAME ) SINGULAR, not names. As I said earlier, Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost are not names of separate persons, but titles of positions held by God. An angelic announcement revealed God’s saving name in the New Testament: “ She shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: FOR HE SHALL SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS.” (Matt.1:21)
The apostles understood that Jesus was the name to use at baptism, and from the day that the Church of God was established (the day of Pentecost) until the end of their ministry, they baptized all nations (Jews -Acts,2:38-41; Samaritans – Acts 8:16; Gentiles- Acts 19:5) in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In fact, Jesus is the only name given for our salvation. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12).
Baptism of the Holy Ghost
The baptism of the Holy Ghost is the birth of the Spirit ( Jn.3:5) This spiritual baptism is necessary to put someone into the kingdom of God( God’s church, the bride of Christ) and is evidenced by speaking in other tongues ( other languages as the Spirit of God gives utterance.
It was prophesied by Joel ( Joel 2:28-29) and Isaiah (Isa.28:11), foretold by John the Baptist ( Matt.3:11), purchased by the blood of Jesus, and promised by Him to His disciples ( Jn.14:26; 15:26). The Holy Ghost was first poured out on the Day of Pentecost upon the Jews (Acts 2:1-4) then upon the Samaritans (Acts 8:17), and later upon the Gentiles (Acts 10:44-46); 19:6). “The Promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Acts 2:39)

Tongues: Speaking in tongues means speaking miraculously in a language unknown to the speaker, as the Spirit gives utterance.
Tongues can be classified in two ways, according to function: 1) speaking in other tongues as the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost and 2) the gift of tongues as mentioned in I Cor.
1.Speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance is the manifestation God has given as the definite, indisputable, supernatural witness or sign of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:4; 10:46; 19:6.
It was prophesied by the prophet Isaiah as the rest and refreshing ( Isa.28:11-12) foretold by Jesus as a sign that would follow believers of the gospel ( Mk.16:17), and experienced by the Jews and Gen tiles alike.
2.The gift of “ divers kinds of tongues,” mentioned by Paul in 1 Cor.12:1-10 and concerning which he gave regulations in 1 Cor.14:1-40, is given both for self edification ( I Cor.14:4) and for the edification of the church ( 1 Cor.14:27-28)
In church meetings the gift of tongues is used to give a public message, and it is to be interpreted, since this gift can be misused in public, it needs proper regulation ( I Cor.14:23-28) Not all believers exercise the gift of tongues, which is different in function from tongues given by God as the initial witness of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
Paul said, “ Forbid not to speak with tongues” 1 Cor.14:39) and I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all.” 1 Cor.14:18) Who dares to teach or preach to the contrary!

Holiness:
After we are saved from sin, we are commanded, “Go and sin no more” ( John 8:11)
We are commanded to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world (Titus2:12) and warned that without Holiness no one shall see the Lord (Heb.12:14)
We must present ourselves as Holy unto God (Rom.12:1) cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit 11 Cor.7:1) and separate ourselves from all worldliness (Js.4:4)
If the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (1 Peter 4:18)
No one can live a holy life by his own power, but only through the Holy Spirit. “Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” (Acts 1:8)

Divine Healing:
God has made Himself known through the ages by miraculous healings and has made special provisions in the age of grace to heal all who come to Him in faith and obedience. Divine healing was purchased for us by the blood of Jesus Christ, especially by His stripes (Isa.53:5; Matt.8:16-17; 1 Peter 2:24).
Jesus went everywhere healing those who were sick ( Matt 4:23-24) and He commanded His disciples to do the same ( Matt.10:8) He said, concerning those who believe the gospel, “ They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” ( Mk.16:18) Mighty healings and miracles followed the disciples wherever the gospel was preached.
There is no sickness or disease too hard for God. Any of us, our children, or our friends can be healed by the power of God. “Is there any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up: and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.” (Js.5:14-16)
Second Coming of Christ:
Jesus is coming back to earth in bodily form just as He went away. (Acts 1:11) He will catch away a holy people (his bride, his church) who have accepted redemption through His blood, by birth of water and of the Spirit, and who are found faithful when He comes.
“ For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall arise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” 1 Thess.4:16-17)
One shall be taken and the other left” ( Lk.17:36) Will we be ready?
The signs of his coming are everywhere. The days of peril are here indeed, with forms of godliness void of the power of God, society and politics corrupted, and people’s heart’s filled with pride, blasphemy, unholiness, love of evil, and love of pleasures( 11Tim.3:1-13) These things, together with multitudes running to and fro, the increase of knowledge ( Dan.12:4) the persecution of the Jews and their return to Palestine ( Lk.21:24) and scores of other things are startling signs that Jesus’ coming is drawing nearer.
Wars, rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes, storms, floods, distress of nations, perplexity, and people’s hearts failing them for fear are sounding the solemn alarm that Jesus’ coming is at hand. (Matt.24:6; Lk.21:25-28).
Prepare to meet thy God (Amos 4:12)
Resurrection:
There will be a resurrection of all the dead, both just and unjust.
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation “(Jn.5:28-29).
Judgement:
“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement “(Heb.9:27). For this reason, there will be a resurrection for everyone. “For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” (11 Cor.5:10)
The eternal destiny of every soul shall be determined by a just God who knows the secrets of everyone’s heart.
“And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a Shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the king say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world… then shall he also say unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels…” And these shall go away into everlasting punishment; but the righteous into life eternal. “ ( Matt.25:32-34, 41,46)
The Law – the word of God
The judge- the righteous God
To be judged- our souls
What will the sentence be?
Life’s opportunities past!
Reaping day at last!
Two verdicts pend: life or death!
Choose you this day whom you will serve! ( Joshua 24:15)

Mary was there for Pentecost
"They all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and MARY, THE MOTHER OF JESUS,and with his brethren"( Acts 1:14)
Special care was made in the scriptures to note that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was present for the great spiritual event Jesus promised. "And being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which saith he, ye have heard of me.
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. But ye shall receive power AFTER that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth" (Acts 1:4,5,&6).
Mary was probably closer to Jesus than any other human being. She understood that all mankind was in need of a savior. She recognized that Jesus was God in flesh who came to earth to redeem all who believe on Him and obey His word.
Like Mary, we too must recognize our need for salvation. We begin by believing that the blood of Jesus Christ was shed for us. We repent by asking Him to forgive our sins and take control of our lives. Repentance causes us to turn from the sins of the past and enter into a new life in Christ. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new"( II Cor. 5:17).
When we repent of our sins, we turn from our old ways of living and our old ways of thinking. We take on a brand new lifestyle in Christ. We commit ourselves to obeying God's word and serving Him faithfully. Our sins are remitted through baptism in the name of Jesus. "And now why tartiest thou? arise and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord" ( Acts 22:16).
Then we wait expectantly to be filled with the promise of the Father.( The Holy Ghost).
Have you like Mary, been baptized with the Holy Ghost?

𝐃𝐎 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐈𝐒𝐑𝐀𝐄𝐋 𝐇𝐀𝐃?
𝐎𝐑
𝐃𝐎 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒?

There is a massive difference between God being 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 you and God dwelling 𝐢𝐧 you.

Most Christians read the Bible as though the Holy Spirit worked the same way from Genesis to Revelation, but scripture reveals a dramatic shift between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant.

Under the Old Covenant, God was 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 His people.

Under the New Covenant, through 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓, God comes 𝐢𝐧 His people.

This is one of the greatest revelations in the entire Bible.

From the moment sin entered Eden, people lost intimate fellowship with the presence of God. Adam walked with God, but when sin entered the world, separation entered with it. Sin separated people from the life and presence of God. From that moment forward, the entire biblical story became the story of God restoring what people lost.

Throughout the Old Testament, God revealed Himself to Israel through covenants, prophets, sacrifices, priesthoods, miracles, fire, glory, and law. His presence was real, powerful, holy, and terrifying, but it remained 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥.

God was 𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 them.
God was 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 them.

But God was not yet dwelling 𝐢𝐧 them as the permanent indwelling Spirit of the New Covenant.

Exodus 13:21 And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud.

Exodus 25:8 Let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

Notice the language carefully.

𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 them.
Not 𝐢𝐧 them.

The tabernacle was not simply a tent. It was a prophetic picture. God’s glory descended into a physical structure because people themselves had not yet become the dwelling place of God.

Under the Old Covenant, the Spirit of God came 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 people temporarily for assignments, power, prophecy, warfare, leadership, or ministry.

The Spirit came upon Samson.
The Spirit came upon Saul.
The Spirit came upon prophets.

But the Spirit did not permanently indwell the covenant people as a whole.

Even David understood the difference between God being 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 someone and God dwelling permanently 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 them.

Psalm 51:11 Take not thy holy spirit from me. Why would David fear losing the Spirit?

Because under the Old Covenant the Spirit could come upon someone and depart from them.

But the prophets saw a coming day when God would do something humanity had never experienced before.

God would not merely 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 people. God would 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 inside people.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you… And I will put my spirit within you.

Jeremiah 31:33 I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts.

This was New Covenant language.

This was not merely God helping people externally through commandments written on stone.

This was God entering people internally through His Spirit. Everything pointed toward 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓.

The tabernacle pointed toward it.
The temple pointed toward it.
The glory cloud pointed toward it.
The fire pointed toward it.
Then Jesus came.

God manifested in flesh.

During His earthly ministry, Jesus began revealing the transition from 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 you to 𝐢𝐧 you.

John 14:16-17 And he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth… for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Those words are monumental.

𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 you.

𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧 you.

That is the language of 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓. That is the language of the New Covenant.
That is the restoration of what Adam lost.

This is why Jesus commanded His followers not to begin ministry until they received the Holy Ghost.

The apostles already believed.
They already followed Him.
They already confessed Him.
They already witnessed miracles.
They already saw the resurrection.

Yet even after all of this, Jesus still commanded them to wait.

Luke 24:49 Tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Acts 1:4-5 Wait for the promise of the Father… ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

If people automatically receive the Holy Spirit simply by believing, these verses make no sense.

Why would believers have to wait for something they already possessed?

The answer is simple.

𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 in Christ and 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 the indwelling Holy Spirit are connected, but they are not identical experiences.

Then 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓 arrived.

Acts 2:1-4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

This was the moment God moved from dwelling among His people to dwelling 𝐢𝐧 His people.

At 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓, the temple moved from stone walls into redeemed people.

Under the Old Covenant, fire fell on altars.
Under the New Covenant, fire fell on people.
Under the Old Covenant, God’s glory filled the tabernacle.
Under the New Covenant, believers became the tabernacle.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

1 Corinthians 6:19 Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you.

This is the miracle of 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓.

𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐧 us.
𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 you.

The Spirit living inside people.
The Kingdom entering the believer.
The New Covenant becoming internal instead of external.

Scripture also destroys the modern idea that someone automatically receives the Holy Spirit the instant they believe.

Acts 8:12 says they believed and were baptized.

Yet Acts 8:15-16 says they still had not received the Holy Ghost.

Acts 19:2 asks: Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?

That question would be impossible if receiving the Spirit automatically happened at belief.

Scripture consistently shows the progression:

People hear the gospel.
People believe.
People repent.
People are baptized.
People receive the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:38 Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

A simple way to understand this is like a swimming pool.

A person can stand beside the pool.

They believe the water is real.
They trust the water.
They know the water exists.
But they are still outside it.
Then they jump in.

Now the water is all around them.

They can feel it.
Move in it.
Experience it around them.
But it is still not 𝐢𝐧 them.

Then they open their mouth and the water enters inside.

Now it is not merely around them.

It is 𝐢𝐧 them.

That is the difference between God being 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 someone and God dwelling 𝐢𝐧 someone through the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said: John 14:17 For he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

The disciples already believed before 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓.

They walked with Jesus.
Learned from Him.
Saw miracles through Him.
Felt God’s presence around them.

But Jesus still told them to wait because the Spirit had not yet come to dwell inside them through the New Covenant experience.

𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓 was the moment the Spirit of God moved from being merely 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 believers to living 𝐢𝐧 believers.

The New Covenant is not merely God around you.

It is 𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐘𝐎𝐔 when you experience 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓.

Do these titles as used in Matthew 28:19 mean that there are three separate and distinct persons in the Godhead? No, they refer to three offices, roles, or relationship to humanity.
“Father,” “Son,” and “Holy Ghost” in Holy Bible do not mean there are three separate and distinct persons in the Godhead. They describe three ways the one true God has revealed Himself and worked in relationship to humanity.

The Bible repeatedly declares that God is absolutely one.

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.”
Deuteronomy 6:4

“I am the LORD, and beside me there is no saviour.”
Isaiah 43:11

“God was manifest in the flesh.”
1 Timothy 3:16

According to the Oneness understanding, God is one divine Spirit who has revealed Himself in different roles and manifestations—not as three eternal persons.

The Father

“Father” refers to God as Creator, source of all life, and Father of all creation.

“One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
Ephesians 4:6

The Father is not a separate person from Jesus. Jesus said:

“I and my Father are one.”
John 10:30

And:

“He that hath seen me hath seen the Father.”
John 14:9

The Son

“Son” refers to God manifested in flesh through Jesus Christ for the purpose of redemption.

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.”
John 1:14

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
Colossians 2:9

The term “Son” points to the incarnation—God coming into the world as a man. Oneness believers teach that the Son is not a second divine person, but the humanity God took on to save mankind.

The Holy Ghost

“Holy Ghost” refers to God working spiritually in the hearts and lives of believers.

“God is a Spirit.”
John 4:24

“Now the Lord is that Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 3:17

Jesus also identified Himself with the coming Comforter:

“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”
John 14:18

From the Oneness perspective, the Holy Ghost is not another separate person, but the Spirit of Jesus Christ dwelling within believers.

Matthew 28:19 and the Name

Jesus commanded:

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
Matthew 28:19

Oneness believers emphasize that Jesus said “name” (singular), not “names” (plural).

They believe the one revealed name that fulfills Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is Jesus.

This is why the apostles always baptized in the name of Jesus in the book of Acts:

“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.”
Acts 2:38

“They were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Acts 8:16

“And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.”
Acts 10:48

“They were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Acts 19:5

According to the Bible view, the apostles understood that the saving name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is Jesus Christ.

Jesus Is the Full Revelation of God

Apostle’s believers teach that everything God is was revealed in Jesus Christ.

“For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell.”
Colossians 1:19

“God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself.”
2 Corinthians 5:19

Jesus is not the second person of a trinity. He is the visible image of the invisible God.

“Who is the image of the invisible God.”
Colossians 1:15

Conclusion

From the Bible perspective:

There is only one God.
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not three separate persons.
These titles describe different roles, manifestations, and relationships of the one God.
Jesus Christ is the full revelation of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
The apostles fulfilled Matthew 28:19 by baptizing in the name of Jesus Christ in Act 2:38
