congregational, but not independent. What We Believe - The ECC is a communion of congregatio

ns gathered by God, united in Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to obey the great commandment and the great commission. It affirms its companionship in faith with other church bodies and all those who fear God and keep God’s commandments. The ECC's essential beliefs are summed up in these affirmations:

We affirm the centrality of the word of God. We affirm the church as a fellowship of believers. We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit. We affirm the reality of freedom in Christ.
