This is an archival worship ministry page which remains active to preserve the memories and ministry that occurred during a specific period of time. Volunteers who were part of regular ministry and special events (as well as their family, friends, and others) may view archived posts, pictures, and videos here. Worship Ministries at FBCD during 2008 to 2016 included several groups:
The
Adult Choir, directed by former Minister of Music and Worship Travis L. Boyd, made up of volunteers using their musical gifts in praise and worship. The Orchestra, a volunteer group of talented musicians using their gifts for God's glory and leading in worship. The Golden Notes were an energetic and enthusiastic Senior Adult Choir,
who loved to sing and worship, with Travis Boyd as their former Director. All 3 of the above named adult worship ministry groups ministered outside the walls of the church building in the local community and beyond, sharing the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ in ministry centers, sister churches, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, the Georgia State Capitol, the Town Green, shopping malls, many other locations in Georgia and other States, and even in the Grand Old Opry Plaza. Additional worship ministry groups included:
Drama Ministry, allowing talented actors and actresses to bring their gifts to some challenging roles in worship ministry skits and music productions. The Technical Team, a group of dedicated volunteers, running lights, sound, and media for worship services and special productions. (Student Worship Arts Team) Choir, and Youth Ensemble, consisting of students in Middle School and High School ministered within the community and on annual mission trips. Children's Choirs, directed by several of our talented members. The Pre-School Choir, for children ages 4 and up, either in pre-school or kindergarten. Our goal with all of our groups of all ages, more than just learning and presenting music, was to learn more about our Lord and what it means to walk with Him and worship him through music. Our ministry goal: to share the message of the hope found in Jesus Christ through music, drama, and technical Worship Ministry.
