An unchanged Christian is an unsaved Christian.

The evidence of genuine salvation is a transformed life.

God does not just forgive you and leave you unchanged.

The Bible says the natural, fleshly mind is hostile toward God and does not submit to His law. But those who belong to Christ have the Spirit of God dwelling in them (Romans 8:7–9).

Before Christ, you love sin and resist God. But when God truly saves you, He does not leave you the same person He found you.

Salvation is not something you earn by cleaning yourself up or doing enough good works.

“He saved us.”

Not according to our works of righteousness, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost (Titus 3:5).

But the grace that saves you also transforms you.

God promises to remove the hard, stony heart and give you a new heart and a new spirit. He puts His Spirit within you and causes you to walk in His ways and obey His commands (Ezekiel 36:26–27).

This is what it means to be born again. Jesus said that unless a person is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3).

That is what regeneration looks like.

God does not merely forgive you and then leave you enslaved to the same sinful life.

He changes your heart, gives you His Spirit, and produces a desire to walk in obedience to Him.

This is why a changed life is not something to boast about as though you saved yourself.

God gets the glory.

He washed you.

He renewed you.

He gave you a new heart.

Jesus did not come merely to change where you go when you die.

He came to change who you are while you live.

Saved by grace.

Given a new heart.

Many people say they have faith and believe in Jesus, but they have fake faith.

Their mouths say they believe, but their lives refuse to act on what they claim to believe.

Good works do not save you.

Good works prove you have saving faith.

Faith is made perfect through works.

Real faith works.

Works are not separate from living faith.

Works are faith in action.

Saying “I have faith” while refusing to act is dead faith.

Real faith obeys God.

Fearing God makes you turn from sin.

But many people believe in a fake lovey dovey Jesus who is only love and mercy and never judgment or wrath.

They will tell you that you are preaching wrong when you call sinners to repent and warn them that they are headed to hell and that the wrath of God is coming upon the disobedient.

Yet this is exactly what Jesus, the apostles, and the prophets did.

When the Bible shows them confronting sinners, their message was not, “God loves you.” They called people to repent, turn from sin, and warned them of judgment to come.

Jesus said, “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).

He warned people to fear God, who has the power to cast them into hell (Luke 12:5).

John the Baptist warned people to flee from the wrath to come and bring forth fruits worthy of repentance (Matthew 3:7–8).

Paul said God commands everyone everywhere to repent because He has appointed a day when He will judge the world (Acts 17:30–31).

God repeatedly sent His prophets to command people to turn from evil, but because they refused to listen, He brought judgment (Jeremiah 35:15–17).

This is not fearmongering. Fearmongering invents or exaggerates danger to manipulate people.

Hell, judgment, and the wrath of God are real. Warning people that they are headed to hell if they don’t repent is telling the truth.

If a shark is about to devour someone, a loving lifeguard does not stay silent because the warning might frighten them. He urgently tells them to get out of the water.

In the same way, warning sinners to repent is not hatred. It is love. The hateful thing would be watching people continue toward hell while staying silent or telling them they are okay in their sin because you are afraid of offending them.

“Repent or perish” was the warning of Jesus Christ. Repeating it is not hatred or fearmongering.

True love does not make sinners comfortable in the very sin leading them to destruction.

True love tells them the truth while there is still time so that they may be saved.

Many people live in sexual immorality and think God will give them a pass because they cannot control their desires or simply because they call themselves Christian.

But God is clear. If you continue in sexual immorality and refuse to repent, you will not inherit His kingdom. The very next verse warns, “for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.” (Ephesians 5:6 KJV) You are headed for hell, not heaven. Calling yourself a Christian does not exempt you from His judgment.

An English dictionary commonly defines “whoremonger” as someone who visits prostitutes. But in Ephesians 5:5, the Greek word translated “whoremonger” is po**os, meaning a fornicator or sexually immoral person. It is not limited to prostitution.

Whether money is involved or not, the same warning applies. Being in a relationship does not make sexual activity outside marriage acceptable to God. Having someone’s consent does not mean you have God’s approval.

Sexual sin is not limited to physical contact. Watching explicit content, exchanging sexual images outside marriage, and deliberately feeding or provoking lust are not harmless just because no physical contact takes place.

Jesus warned that looking with lust is already adultery in the heart (Matthew 5:28). Scripture warns that adulterers will not inherit the kingdom of God and that God will judge them (1 Corinthians 6:9–10, Hebrews 13:4).

Deliberately provoking lust means leading others into sin. Jesus pronounced woe upon those who lead others into sin and warned that those who cause others to stumble will be cast into the furnace of fire (Matthew 18:7; Matthew 13:41–42). You cannot deliberately encourage the sin Jesus condemned and expect to escape judgment while refusing to repent.

These warnings apply to both men and women. God does not have one standard for her and another for him.

But you do not have to remain in this sin.

Christ can cleanse you and set you free.

Stop defending what God commands you to forsake.

Repent before it’s too late.

The world will always try to convince you that you’re missing out by refusing to participate in sin.

But the person who refuses sin is not missing out. He is blessed.

The world sees separation from sin as boring. God calls the man who refuses to walk with sinners blessed.

You do not need fornication to have fulfillment.

You do not need drunkenness to have joy.

You do not need drugs to have peace.

You do not need the approval of sinners to have a good life.

Sin offers temporary pleasure while hiding the destruction that follows it.

Only God can truly satisfy your soul.

“For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.”
Psalm 107:9 KJV

There is peace and contentment in living a holy life before God that the pleasures of sin can never give you.

Do not envy people who appear to be having fun in sin.

“Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.”
Proverbs 23:17 KJV

What looks like freedom is actually bo***ge. Jesus said the one who sins is the slave of sin, and only He can set you free (John 8:34–36).

What looks like pleasure is only temporary. The pleasures of sin last only for a season, but no temporary pleasure is worth losing your soul for eternity (Hebrews 11:25).

There is greater joy in having a clean conscience before God than fitting in with a world that rejects Him.

And contrary to the excuse that everyone must constantly live in sin, it is possible to be presently walking in obedience to God and doing no iniquity.

The blessed life is not found in following the crowd.

It is found in separating from sin, delighting in God’s Word, keeping His commandments, and walking in His ways.

Let the world keep telling you that you are missing out.

You can tell them:

“No thanks. I’m blessed.”

GOD DESCRIBES THOSE WHO CANNOT CEASE FROM SIN AS “CURSED CHILDREN” (2 PETER 2:14).

This is why saying, “Nobody can stop sinning,” is not humility. It is a dangerous lie that keeps you enslaved to sin. Jesus commanded, “Sin no more” (John 5:14).

We are to arm ourselves with the mind of Christ, CEASE FROM SIN, and no longer live according to human lusts but according to the will of God (1 Peter 4:1-2).

Fake Christians turn the cross into an excuse to continue in sin.

But Jesus died for our sins so that we would die to sin and live righteously (1 Peter 2:24).

Jesus did not die so you could repeatedly return to sin while telling yourself that freedom is impossible.

Our old man was crucified with Christ so we would no longer serve sin, because those who are dead to sin have been freed from it (Romans 6:6-7).

Jesus gave Himself to redeem us from all iniquity (Titus 2:14). He came to save His people from their sins, not in their sins (Matthew 1:21).

Grace does not teach you to accept bo***ge.

Grace teaches you to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts (Titus 2:11-12).

Sin shall not have dominion over those who are under grace (Romans 6:14).

Do not allow sin to reign in your body or obey its lusts (Romans 6:12).

Stop feeding what you claim you want freedom from.

Delete the apps. Block the websites. Remove secret access. Flee youthful lusts. Make no provision for the flesh.

Christ came to make you free from sin, not comfortable in the chains of sin.

Lukewarm Christians love the idea of following Jesus until following Jesus requires them to actually obey Him.

They say:

“I love Jesus.”

“I’ll follow Him.”

But when Jesus tells them to repent, stop sinning, and live holy, suddenly the excuses begin.

“No one is perfect.”

“We all sin.”

“You can’t stop sinning.”

“That’s works based salvation.”

But Jesus did not call us to make excuses for sin. He commanded sinners to “go, and sin no more” (John 8:11; 5:14).

And “no one is perfect” is not an excuse when Jesus Himself commanded, “Be ye therefore perfect” (Matthew 5:48).

Biblical perfection does not mean you never make a mistake or possess the absolute perfection of God. It means being morally upright, blameless, complete, and mature before God. It is a life devoted to righteousness and holiness rather than a life of willful sin.

God told Abraham to walk before Him and be perfect (Genesis 17:1), Christians are commanded to perfect holiness in the fear of God (2 Corinthians 7:1), and Christ desires His church to be “holy and without blemish” (Ephesians 5:27).

Stop lowering God’s standard to accommodate sin.

Obedience does not earn salvation.

Christians do not remain what Christ saved them from.

Before Christ, we were sinners living in sin.

In Christ, we are saints living in holiness.

Paul is often misquoted to claim that Christians are still sinners.

People cherry pick 1 Timothy 1:15, where Paul says he is the chief of sinners, then say, “See, even Paul is a sinner, so we’re all sinners!”

But they don’t read the verses before it. In 1 Timothy 1:13–15, Paul is describing the sinful life he lived in the PAST and was saved from.

Paul reminded the Corinthians of what they USED TO BE after listing people living in sin:

“And such WERE some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified” (1 Corinthians 6:11).

Notice the past tense.

Such WERE some of you.

Christians are ex sinners and current saints.

The Bible does not call Christians both sinners and saints.

You will not find a single verse calling a Christian a sinner as his current identity. The two describe opposite ways of life.

Sinners live in sin. Saints live holy.

The word “saint” means a holy one. Saints are people set apart for God who live holy lives (Leviticus 20:26, Hebrews 12:14).

Christians are not sinners living in sin. Romans 6 makes that very clear.

You cannot be living as a sinner and living as a holy saint at the same time.

You cannot be practicing unrighteousness while practicing righteousness at the same time.

“He that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil” (1 John 3:7–8).

This does not mean a true Christian has never committed a sin or could never stumble.

It means sin is no longer the life they practice and identify with.

1 John 2:1 makes it clear we are commanded to SIN NOT, and IF WE SIN, we repent to Christ.

There is a difference between someone who falls and repents and someone who lives in sin while comforting himself with “we’re all sinners.”

Scripture continually separates the two groups.

The righteous and the sinner.

The godly and the ungodly.

The children of God and the children of the devil.

You were a sinner.

You were washed.

You were sanctified.

You were called to be a saint.

Now live like one.
