Praying is not easy. Especially praying in the name of Jesus Christ. Unlike other religions, where people believe the outcome of prayer is based on your dedication and sincerity, in Christianity, we come to pray in total surrender to what Christ has already accomplished and what he will do in our lives for His glory. Admitting our selfishness, letting go of our control, and trusting in God’s goodness takes intentional effort to be on our knees. In essence, we don’t pray to change God, rather, we pray so God can change us. To do this alone is really hard. Learning how to pray by yourself is really hard. That’s why we come as a community to pray together. Little by little bit as we pray together God will not only change our hearts but God will work through our prayers. Our prayers will be shaped by God’s will for us and we will experience the joy of seeing God answer our prayers. Please join us tonight as we pray together.
