It's Great to be Alive in God's Great Northwoods! Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry is a camp of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We have two camps, Camp Hiawatha and Camp Vermilion. We provide summer camp opportunities for all ages and years round retreat and rental facilities at both camps. VLM is also a certified outfitter for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, and runs trips out o

It’s not on the packing list that we send out, but the flannel always seems to make an appearance at camp…

God's Great Northwoods isn’t always forgiving to the garments we bring to camp. Whether or not it's a flannel, those all-purpose clothes might need a little TLC when they get back home.

As campers will learn this summer, God’s love isn’t just a feeling; it’s a garment that gets stained, frayed, and worn through real life.

Camp is a place where we can give those garments a wash with grace. A wash that looks different for everyone.

Camp Work Day is a time to prepare the site for our summer camping season, and we can't do that without your help! Join us as we work on some general projects around camp. Come with a group or individually. There are plenty of projects for everyone!
