Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry is excited to announce our theme for the summer: Wear Love! Stemming from Colossians 3:12, VLM will channel kindness, humbleness, calmness, steadfastness, and forgiveness Monday-Friday with our campers at Camp Hiawatha and Vermilion.

Join us in clothing yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience this summer!

Thanks to everyone who showed up to our Sunday service! Reminder, VLM hosts church services every Sunday at our Camp Hiawatha location throughout the summer, until Labor Day. Stop by and let your light shine in God's great Northwoods!

Staff training is underway! Our staff arrived at Camp Hiawatha on Sunday and have been spending the past few days hard at work preparing and learning for the summer ahead!

One incredible highlight of training so far has been hosting the staff of Camp Onomia for a few days, learning from each other and making connections. We’re so thankful for the chance to work with them, and can’t wait to hear about how their summer goes!

We’ve got a few more days at Camp Hiawatha, then will head up to Camp Vermilion on Saturday for another week of training. Summer is upon us!

We have been getting a lot of scam comments on our posts offering an alumni t-shirt, mug, etc. Please don’t click on any links offering alumni shirts!

It says something like “I would like to inform you that those who have not yes reserved our alumni t-shirt, please reserve it quickly as it will be available for a very short time. Order from here.”

It tags people who have commented on the post, and if you click on the link, the problem perpetuates.

If you do want to purchase VLM merch, it will be available on site this summer!

This week, we were thrilled to welcome the first of our summer staff for lifeguarding training! We had a blast polishing our skills as we prepare for a safe and fun summer ahead of us. Thank you to Wes (and Puzzles) for teaching our course!

Thank you to everyone who made it up to Work Day at Camp Vermilion on Saturday- we were blessed with an awesome crew and beautiful weather! Camp is coming soon, and we are so thankful for the hard work put in to help get our facilities ready for summer!

Last week at Camp Hiawatha, our new dock was installed! Thank you to everyone who’s helped support our Make A Splash campaign for new docks at both our sites- your contributions are helping us deliver a safe and fun experience for everyone who comes to camp. We can’t wait to update you when the new docks are in at Camp Vermilion!
