Day 5: That Great Getting Up Morning
Scripture: "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" — 1 Corinthians 15:55 (KJV)
The Pastor’s Word: Does God's Word ever fail? No, sir. No, ma'am. And let me tell you how I know.
I know because on one Friday on a hill called Calvary. They hung Him high and stretched Him wide. He died. The devil thought he had won. The grave thought it had Him. The grave said, "I’ve got Adam, I’ve got Moses, I’ve got David... and now I’ve got Jesus."
He was there all night Friday. He was there all day Saturday. But early... I said early... Sunday morning, He got up! He snatched the keys from the devil and rode through the graveyard victorious.
Because He got up, we know that no matter what unanswered prayers we have in this life, the final answer is VICTORY. The final answer is LIFE. We are living every day getting ready for that great getting up morning. So, hold on. God’s Word has not failed.
Reflection: How does the Resurrection give you hope in the face of current struggles?
Prayer: Ride on, King Jesus! Thank You that because You live, I can face tomorrow. Thank You that the grave is not the end, and Your Word is true forever. I praise You for the victory. Amen.
