Some folks from GracePoint took a little roadtrip out to Freeport to visit with our dear friend Zahara and her baby boy, Rayhan. It was such a delight reconnecting with this dear family and sharing the love of God with her.

“How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭84‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭ESV‬‬

All us turkeys agree, that his dwelling place at 3100 Windsor is quite lovely!

Hope to see you (and this turkey) at this morning’s worship at 10:45am, followed by Communion!

So glad we hosted this year’s Four Chaplains event! Looking forward to more interactions down the road with the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Marine Corps League, and other veteran organizations.

Our liberties are given by God through the sacrifices of our service members. In the case of these four chaplains and two others from Dubuque, which included Father Aloysius Schmitt, sacrifice for freedom rings differently. They gave their lives pushing others ahead so they might live.

These chaplains weren’t on the same theological page. One was a rabbi. Others were priests. Others were ministers. What united them was love. A greater love, as they gave their lives for their friends (John 15:13).
