Yesterday, our Dublin Community Church youth group crossed the Mississippi, went *Beyond the Arch*, and settled into our home base for the week in St. Louis.
Today, our first full day of service began at Lydia’s House, where our group helped clean and prepare two apartments for the next person or family in need of safety, stability, and care. Lydia’s House provides secure housing and support for women and children who are survivors of domestic violence. Out of respect for the privacy and safety of their location and clients, we are not sharing photos or video from that part of our day.

After lunch, our crew shifted from cleaning supplies to sandwich bags, assembling a couple hundred meals packed with sandwiches, fruit, pudding, and more. The meals were delivered to St. Patrick Center, where they will be shared with neighbors in St. Louis who are hungry and in need of support.

Through both projects, our group served with willing hands, open hearts, and plenty of smiles. It was a joy to watch them step into the work with energy, kindness, and purpose.
We wrapped up the evening at a St. Louis Cardinals game, where the laughter and smiles continued, even after a tough one-run loss by the home team.
A full first day beyond the Arch, and we experienced courage, strength, family, dedication, anchoring, trust, unity, selflessness, and empowerment.
