Our final full day in St. Louis is coming to a close. Tomorrow morning, we load the vans, point them toward Dublin, and begin the trip home.

But before we leave, our group had one more opportunity to serve with Beyond Housing . Earlier this week, we helped clean, organize, and mark safety paths in their main warehouse. Today, with that space in good shape, their team had several additional rooms ready for us to tackle.

So we rolled up our sleeves one last time.

Room by room, box by box, shelf by shelf, our group helped create more order, more usable space, and a little more breathing room for the people doing important work in the St. Louis community.

When the work was done, Beyond Housing treated us to burgers and brats from the grill. It was a generous and joyful ending to our final day of service, and a reminder that these trips are never just about the work. They are about relationships, shared purpose, and the moments of kindness that happen along the way.

This week beyond the Arch has been full: full of service, laughter, sore muscles, new faces, good conversations, unexpected blessings, and the kind of memories that will follow us home.

We are thankful for the organizations that welcomed us, the people of St. Louis who shared their community with us, and everyone back home who helped make this trip possible. A special thank-you goes to the rummage team, whose hard work helped raise the funds to send our group here.

We came to serve. We leave changed.

Today was all play and no work, and our group enjoyed every minute of it.

We started at the Gateway Arch, taking in the amazing views of St. Louis from the top. From there, we headed to Union Station for the aquarium, the giant Ferris wheel, and plenty of time to explore, laugh, and enjoy the day together.

We ended the evening at where dinner came with some truly giant floats and the van gained a few cases of their finest soda for the road.

After two full days of service, today gave our group time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the city we came to serve.

A fun day beyond the Arch, and we are grateful.

Our second day of service in St. Louis was a full one, and our group accomplished so much.

This morning, we served with Beyond Housing, helping tidy and organize their warehouse so their team can more easily carry out their work in the community. Beyond Housing works to strengthen families and transform under-resourced communities in the St. Louis region, and we were grateful to support a small piece of that larger mission.

After lunch, we headed to Propel Kitchens, where our crew helped assemble more than 500 sack lunches for hungry school children. Propel Kitchens uses food, nutrition, training, and community partnerships to help create health and opportunity in St. Louis.

And we still weren’t done.

We wrapped up our day of service with Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, where we provided personal care supplies and helped serve meals to 110 members of their community. Their meal service offers free meals to individuals and families in need, and it was a joy to serve alongside them.

After a long and meaningful day, we gathered around the grill for brats, burgers, hot dogs, and some much-needed time together. We were also able to share the leftovers with a couple of homeless encampments we were directed to.

One last stop at Ted Drewes for frozen custard gave everyone a sweet ending to the day before heading back to rest up for a fun day tomorrow.

A full second day beyond the Arch, and we are filled with Gratitude. Serving this Community has reminded us that Sacrifice is not just what we leave behind, but the Hinge that opens the door to something deeply Rewarding; and the joy we found today is a Beacon we will carry with us long after this week is over.

Yesterday, our Dublin Community Church youth group crossed the Mississippi, went *Beyond the Arch*, and settled into our home base for the week in St. Louis.

Today, our first full day of service began at Lydia’s House, where our group helped clean and prepare two apartments for the next person or family in need of safety, stability, and care. Lydia’s House provides secure housing and support for women and children who are survivors of domestic violence. Out of respect for the privacy and safety of their location and clients, we are not sharing photos or video from that part of our day.

After lunch, our crew shifted from cleaning supplies to sandwich bags, assembling a couple hundred meals packed with sandwiches, fruit, pudding, and more. The meals were delivered to St. Patrick Center, where they will be shared with neighbors in St. Louis who are hungry and in need of support.

Through both projects, our group served with willing hands, open hearts, and plenty of smiles. It was a joy to watch them step into the work with energy, kindness, and purpose.

We wrapped up the evening at a St. Louis Cardinals game, where the laughter and smiles continued, even after a tough one-run loss by the home team.

A full first day beyond the Arch, and we experienced courage, strength, family, dedication, anchoring, trust, unity, selflessness, and empowerment.

This morning, the Dublin Community Church youth group set out on their annual mission trip, heading Beyond the Arch to St. Louis, Missouri.

Over the coming week, they'll be serving others, building relationships, growing in their faith, and sharing God's love with the communities they encounter. We invite you to keep our students, leaders, and the people they'll serve in your prayers throughout the week.

St. Louis, here we come!
