Prayer is simply having a conversation with God. By studying the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6, we discover six different ways we can pray for ourselves and others:
- Adoration (Praise)
- Surrender
- Petition
- Confession (Repentance)
- Intercession
- Lament
Looking for an easy way to pray with your child at home? Try using the acronym PRAY as a simple prayer guide:
P – Praise
R – Repent
A – Ask
Y – Yield
Here's a prayer you can pray together as a family:
"Father, thank You for who You are. We worship and bless Your name. You are a good and faithful Father. Thank You for being with us today and for reminding us just how much You love us. Help us to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger today. Help us share Your love with others. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen."
