The bulk of the snow has been pushed from our parking lot and there is room to come in and park. There is a thin layer of snow that was left to keep from damaging the blacktop during scraping.

There may still be some slick spots. Please drive carefully in the parking lot and if you need help getting in or out, let us know. We want everyone to be safe coming in and out of church and we will offer any help that is needed.

We will not meet for Men’s and Women’s groups this evening. Lord willing, we will have the parking lot cleared and meet next week.

Nobody likes to be seen as a fool. Thankfully, God has given us great guidance in His word on wisdom and foolishness. He has given us the tools we need to be able to identify foolishness and to go after wisdom.

Join us at Old Du Quoin Baptist church as we begin a new series on January 4th. We will learn what the bible says about the fool and what the wise alternatives are.

We have wrapped up our study through Romans. As we are now in the Christmas season, we will focus on that story of our Savior that brings such joy every year.

Next week we will see the great example of humility that we have in Christ as He took on human flesh and become one of us.

The week of Christmas, we will see the power and sovereignty of Christ as our King.

He is the King that dwelt among us. He is the King with us and the King over us.

We want men to be men. We want men that demand action and accountability. Men who build things and get things done. Join us for men’s group on Wednesday’s at 6pm as we build a brotherhood of godly, manly men.

Our culture is in dire need of strong fathers. Our Men’s group at 6pm on Wednesday nights will begin on November 5th. Men who want to learn to be strong leaders, husbands, and fathers are welcome and encouraged to attend.
