I'm willing to bet everyone one of us has been done wrong at some point. Some worse than others, but everyone has had something done to them or said about them that they didn’t deserve. We don't have to get even. We have something much better than vengeance. We have been given grace. And because we have received grace...we can give grace. What are you chasing?
Esau traded his birthright for a bowl of stew. We may never make that same choice, but every day we're tempted to exchange eternal things for temporary satisfaction. Have you ever looked back on your life and realized that God was working long before you could see it, even before you prayed about it? In Genesis 22:1-14 GOD asks Abraham to do something he never thought he would be asked to do. It was a real challenge to his faith. If you've ever had your faith tested, then you understand that in those times we must trust in GOD's character more than our own understanding and remember The Lord Provides. This message is from Genesis 21:8-21 and titled "GOD Hears." When you feel like your prayers are not making it past the ceiling, remember this: Our God is the God who hears. And because He hears, we never face life's wilderness alone. So if you are carrying pain...bring it to Him. If you feel forgotten...remember His promise: "I will never leave you nor forsake you." When God called Abram in Genesis 12, He asked him to leave behind everything familiar and trust Him. Abram believed, obeyed, and God blessed him.

The same is true for us today. We are blessed and declared righteous not because of what we do, but because we believe in the One God sent through Abraham's family—Jesus Christ.
