Jesus calls everyone to serve Him, warning that others will hate them because they first hated Him. Becoming a Christ follower does not ensure a life free from difficulties; instead, it involves serving a perfect God who guides one through trials and provides a means of escape from temptation. The church has grown too comfortable, losing its first love. It is crucial that we start serving God in all we do.
