To all who search for God, this church opens wide its doors and in the name of Jesus Christ, says “All are welcome” to our service of worship. WHAT WE BELIEVE
Christ Church United is an expression of the Body of Christ in the world today. We are an affirming Church, saying “yes” to God who is revealed in Creation, manifest in Jesus Christ, present through the Holy Spirit and is known in the Bible

, understood in the historic creeds of the Church, and experienced through one another in the community of faith

OUR HISTORY
Christ Church United of Dracut was established in June of 1969 out of a merger between the First Parish Congregational Church (Yellow Meeting House) and the First Evangelical Congregational Church (Hillside). Both churches have their roots in the first congregational society founded in Dracut in 1711. We are part of the United Church of Christ, a denomination born out of a merger between the Congregational Christian Churches and the Evangelical and reformed Church in 1957. Our denominational roots reach back too the arrival of the pilgrims on the Mayflower and the arrival of the first German immigrants in the 1840’s. As part of the United Church of Christ, this church is a member of the Northeast Association. OUR CHURCH AT WORSHIP
Our worship is the most important event in the life of our church and is held at 10:00 am on Sunday morning. In addition, special services are offered on Christmas and during Lent and Holy Week. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated the first and third Sunday of each month, which is open to all believers regardless of church affiliation. Baptisms are scheduled in consultation with the Pastor and are held during one of the worship services. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION
A schedule of worship and all our events is available on the website and also published monthly in our newsletter, The Call. We will be pleased to send you a copy or you can pick one up at the church. You can contact the church office at (978) 459-2022 or email us at [email protected]

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Food Drive today!
Your generosity makes a difference in the lives our neighbors in a profound way. Jesus calls us to feed the hungry. Today you answered that call,

Also a special thank you to Robin and Gary Heathcock, along with their faithful companion Fenway, for volunteering their time and truck to receive and deliver the donations to the Dracut Food Pantry.

24 years ago we woke to a beautiful September morning, then the unimaginable happened. Over three thousand lives were taken from their families, friends and co-workers by a horrendous act of terrorism. In the years since, many of those who worked tirelessly
searching through the debris have become sick and died.

Let us never forget the souls who died, their families and the first responders who ran into the chaos in New York City and Washington D.C. and the brave passengers on Flight 93 who fought the hijackers and brought the plane down in a field in Somerset County PA.

In the midst of all the divisiveness and violence in the world today, remember those days and how we came together, reaching out to neighbors, friends and even strangers to offer support and comfort.

Gently walk through this day, be kind to others and yourself. Remember that beautiful September morning and how so many lives were changed in the blink of an eye.

God bless those who never made it home that day, may God continue to bless and comfort their families and friends and may the memories of this day inspire us to be better people in all we do, wherever we go.

Peace be with you Pope Francis. You lived the love of Jesus everyday.
