BEFORE YOU BELIEVE IT, DO THIS

It's easy to take in ideas you hear without ever really stopping to ask if they're actually true.

Sometimes we hear claims that sound right, and because the person saying it seems sincere or passionate, we just accept it as truth.

You see a claim on Instagram or TikTok. It sounds true. So you take it in without examining it.

But be careful. You can slowly start to drift away from truth.

Spiritual discernment matters because the claims of Christ are exclusive and non-negotiable.

So before you take it in, take it to the Word. Test what you're hearing against what God has already said.

That's how you guard your heart from the lies that sound like truth.

WHY LOVING OTHER CHRISTIANS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE

When you become a Christian, you're welcomed into a new family. Not bound by biology. Bound by Jesus.

He said it Himself. "Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

So how are you treating your spiritual brothers and sisters?

Are you exalting yourself in pride over your fellow Christian? Are you responding to them with envy, bitterness, or jealousy?

1 John 3:18 says, "Little children, let us not love in word or talk, but in deed and in truth."

To love like Jesus, you must deeply experience the love that Jesus has for his family.

REAL FAITH SHOWS UP IN HOW YOU LIVE

Christianity isn't just intellectual assent.

You can't just sleepily nod along to the truth, "Yes, Jesus died for me. Yes, He brought me into His family."

Christianity means being active. Active in righteousness. Active in actually practicing what is right.

Love changes the way you live.

Because of the great love with which you have been loved.

So if your faith has only ever lived in your head, it's time to let it move into your hands and feet.
