HAPPENING NOW: Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira the Ordinary Bishop of the Diocese of Kasese is at St. Adolf's Subparish Kigoro, under Our Lady Of Assumption Kasese Cathedral Parish Diocese of Kasese , for his official pastoral visit and administration of the sacrament of Confirmation to Christians.

Earlier before mass began, he blessed the Newly constructed Proposed Parish Presbytery and then led mass that began at 11am. This proposed parish will be under the administration and ministry of the Holy Cross priests who will start residing in the newly opened Presbytery building under the company and guidanceof Rev. Fr. Joseph Mbusa.

🇻🇦🇺🇬 NEW APOSTOLIC NUNCIO ARRIVES IN UGANDA

His Excellency Most Rev. Tomasz Grysa, 56, the newly appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Uganda arrived in Uganda on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. Pope Leo XIV appointed Archbishop Grysa to this role of Diplomatic Relations on May 14, 2026.

Born on October 16, 1970, in Poznań, Poland, Most Rev. Tomasz Grysa replaces Archbishop Luigi Bianco, who moved to Slovenia and Kosovo.

His arrival coincided with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Uganda, established on 2 September 1966.
