In the coming weeks, the CPC Prayer Garden Committee will be extending our previous information-sharing sessions to provide more background information and FAQ’s related to the purpose and development of the Prayer Garden.

Please join us for a Listening Session after church on August 23 to share your ideas for how the Prayer Garden can best serve our community and our congregation. We will also welcome any questions at this time.

Project information can be found here (www.cpcdowningtown.org/prayergarden) for review at your convenience. It is our hope and prayer to move forward with a shared vision and mission for the Prayer Garden following a Congregational Vote on October 4. We look forward to talking with you more about this exciting mission to share God's love outside the walls of our building.

We're just under a week away from our next FREE Community Meal! This meal is open to everyone in the community, with zero strings attached. It's just an opportunity for you to come enjoy a meal with your friends, family, and neighbors. No pressure, no program - just a great meal around a community table. We hope to see you there!

We invite our CPC members, and the community, to join us, as we gather at Messiah Lutheran Church to pray, and write postcards and letters in support of Elder Chavez Carranza. Elder is a high school student from Alabama, who holds legal status, but is has been wrongfully detained by ICE for 216 days.

This vigil will be part of a multi-state vigil with events in Pennsylvania, Alabama, Louisiana, and Georgia.

We hope to see many of you there!

Didn’t wake up in time for breakfast? We’ve got you covered! Tomorrow morning, Mission will be serving up pancakes & sausage from 8:30-9:30 & then again from 10:30-11 a.m. All proceeds will support summer camp at Chester County Children’s Foundation.

Suggested donation is $8/person or $5/for kids 8 & under. Cash, check, or Venmo will all be accepted.

We're going to have the best night together for our International Dinner on Saturday and it's not too late to make plans to join us! We're headed around the world as we try foods from all over. Passports will be provided to fill with stickers as guests stop by each table with the goal of filing the book by the end of the evening. Drinks and entertainment/music will be provided. We hope to see everyone there!

Join us as we walk through Holy Week and make our way to an Easter morning celebration! It starts tonight as we come together for Maundy Thursday worship at 7 p.m., remembering the last supper and taking communion together. Tomorrow, we'll join the Downingtown Community for a Good Friday service at 12 p.m., and then Sunday morning we have two chances to celebrate the resurrection at 7 a.m. for our outdoor sunrise service and at 9:30 for our traditional worship service in the sanctuary!

All are welcomed and invited to join us! We hope to see you there.
