The memorial service for Pastor Kusel has been announced. It will be at Bethany Lutheran Church on Friday, July 31 at 3 p.m., at 4644 Clark Ave. in Long Beach. Pastor Kusel ("Pastor Ron") served for two years at Good Shepherd as our interim pastor.

Rev. Dr. Ronald J. Kusel, pastor of First Lutheran Church from 1975 until 2003, went to be with our Lord yesterday, on June 28, 2026. There will be a memorial service for him at Bethany Lutheran Church on Friday, July 31 at 3 p.m., at 4644 Clark Ave. in Long Beach.
