💛 “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭23‬-‭25‬ ‭

The week after Easter can feel a little bit like the bottom of the roller coaster ride, like we’re cruising until the next big event, but if you missed yesterday’s sharing time, you missed a big lesson (and the sermon hadn’t even started!)

Ruby’s story of Steve Mansell helping her with a family issue by using scripture was both encouraging and inspiring for this Spring Season that is fully upon us now. We as a church should not be waiting for the next big Sunday to come, Mother’s Day or whatever it may be to understand what it is God is calling us to do right now, today. How is He asking us to love our neighbor or our child’s teacher as they go back to school from Spring break?

We dive into the Word and find out!! The way Steve had a verse ready for Ruby because he reads the Bible faithfully is a testament to what It says “But his delight is in the law of the Lord and on his law he meditates day and night” Psalm 1:2 and,

“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you with all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16

and lastly, like we all sang in the 90s if you grew up in a small church, “Your word is a lamp into my feet and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105

These scattered verses remind us that if we are consistently dwelling in the Word, whatever comes up in our lives, we can pull verses or stories from scripture that will be able to guide us, protect us from temptation, encourage us or comfort us, and better yet, equip us to do the same for others around us, which may open the door for their path to salvation.

If you have any questions about scripture or salvation or anything else, please don’t hesitate to contact Pastor Mike or private message this account. Everything will always remain private.
Have a great week and hope to see you next Sunday!
